Of course the LCD 5 sounds much better, richer, clearer and more detailed.
After lcd 5, I no longer want to listen to any other headphones
Lcd 5 are space headphones, the sound in them is really like a diamond
You also need to consider with which DAC and amplifier to listen to these headphones.
For me, the best bundle was such a kit - DAC SMSL SU 10 / Naim Supernait

После lcd 5, никакие другие наушники слушать уже не хочется
Lcd 5 это космические наушники, звук в них реально как бриллиантовый
Ещё нужно тоже учитывать с каким цапом и усилителем слушать эти наушники.
Для меня лучшей связкой был вот такой комплект - цап SMSL SU 10 / Naim Supernait
Лучшего сочентания и синергию между устройствами и наушниками я не видел

Btw those Audeze "Cans" (I really think that 'Cans' sound like a sin, when combined with Audeze) ... I really want - No, I deserve 😄 a pair of those - listen to some Neuronic Funk or Jazz or whatever.
I own THREE pair of Audeze headphones... the EL-8, LCD-2 and LCD-X. None of them are remotely close in cost to the LCD-5 but none of them were cheap. Indeed they do sound exceptional, especially when compared to a $15 pile of garbage. But my beef with Audeze is that they refuse come come up with a means to attach the pads so that the damn glue isn't an issue. I'm tired of the pads constantly popping off! They can send dozens of 3M double sided tape rings and I can re-attach but what about MY time in having to do so? And then they only stay attached for a few days. Ugh. Total BS.

$4,500 seems very steep, but if you could actually mix on them, the cost of professional-grade NF monitors and treating a mixing room properly would be that much. And you can take these with you anywhere.

Two major reason the Audeze are so expensive are: They are manufactured and sold in small quantities. Headphones costing $15 are sold in the hundreds of thousands with the advantage of scale. The Audeze are manufactured in the US, labor costs are an order of magnitude greater than would be the case if manufactured in China. I doubt that Audeze sells more than a few thousand of this product in a year.
Quick question. Which one is better? The Akai mpk mini plus or the M-audio oxygen pro mini? I can afford both, but price is important. Also I am a pianist myself, so the extra keys on Akai are very tempting.
i had 25 key of each and id say akai because its way smaller

Hi Robin! I also couldn't decide which is better. Well I choose the m-audio. Akai is more for beginners but their more popular for the price and am also a pianist and the extra keys are very helpful. I also like the m-audio monitors its M-audio bx5 d3. The m-audio has more functions made in in if you don't want to use your mouse for a long time. There are very similar to each other but i probably better choose the m-audio oxygen pro mini. But this is my opinion search more information in more sources!

@@robinvsdk Well I am also a beginner but i will use cubase because i only have a steinberg interface. Although, Cubase is pretty good easy and interesting to start. I searched for a long time 2 month continiously every day and made my list of gear. Good luck to you too!!!

I own a pair of LCD X ( pre 2021 ) and paired up with Sonarworks ref 4 they are super surgical. I can only imagine how good the Lcd-5 sound.

The problem with audeze headphones is frequency response, they are scooped in the higher mids , thats not accurate to me
