I can't find any teachers who do these kinds of exercises with music. This is a great exercise, the best I've found so far, but I don't fully get out you do this to music. or how you would incorporate it correctly. If I could dance with the instructor to music and practice practice, I feel like I'd have it.
Hi Graleh, 5 and 6 are used for traveling. We swivel on 1 and 2 both for style but also to build up stretch but during the rest of the steps, we're traveling and it's not good for your knees to swivel while moving forward.
The swivels are only done when you're in open and not traveling. They are grounded, not ideal for momentum. It's also not good for your knees to travel while swivelling. Steps 5, 6 require traveling and momentum that doesn't really work while swivelling. Hope that helps.

Jo Hoffberg has a good swivel training that includes practice with music on iLindy.com.
Why are not all steps twist steps? Steps 5-6 are normal steps..
