I thought I knew how to master before and just wanted some tips for what to use in Cubase. Now I want to redo everything I've ever mastered. Thanks for your videos Dom - they're really amazing.
OMG here's another ah-ha! moment courtesy of Dom. Blending a mix with a parallel comp channel + minimal amounts of many plugins to gently address a mix's needs. I love having my mind ripped open. Thanks for all you share, Mr. Sigalas🙏
Hey Dom you're the best. I always whach your tutorials on Cubase 12 now Cubase 14 you are making me better from before. But the is something I really want to learn from you.
I have been wanting to learn how to master my own material for years. Dom? Your mastering chain has given me the BEST results I have ever managed. Learning so much from you, the master of 'mastering' (no pun intended lol). RESPECT to you for sharing such insights to creating cleaner, larger mixes without breaking anything!
Thanks so much for this (and all your other fabulous content). What I really love about your tutorials is that they are teaching me how to LISTEN before and after I take actions. Invaluable.
at the moment I have a very creative period and want to finish many tracks. I always come back to this video for the mastering process, it is golden! Thanks DOM :)
Thank you, Dom for this great tutorial. An interesting experiment would be to null test (aka delta test) the properly mastered version vs. the slap-on-a-limiter version. I might just try that on one of my tracks. And thank you, Steinberg, for not just trying to sell us stuff, but for hiring Professor Dom to teach us how to use the tools we've already got.
Hello Dom. I don't know how to send signal from my mix track to the master bus track because i don't know what kind type track is the master bus. In the video it seems to be a group track but in the mix track i have not seen to route it to the master bus{group track}. I use Asio Presonus Firestudio digital mixer Studiolive 16.4.2. Thanks
Thanks Dom, really cool video with some great insights, but I am surprised you used dithering as from what I know, it’s only used when converting a song to a lower bit depth or sample rate. Now if you’re working 24bit 48khz and export in 24 48, why would you use it? Isn’t that going to add more noise to the song?
This is really useful! I'm new to Cubase though, and not sure what has been connected to the Master Bus channel. Can anyone help? What gets sent to the Master Bus? I put all those plugins on the Stereo Out channel, not realising.
I’m curious as you, as from what I know, dithering is necessary when going from 24 48 to a lower bit or sample rate. Otherwise, wouldn’t it add more noise to the sound?
I am new to Cubase. The first thing that I noticed is that there is no Master Fader in the mixer (something absurd for me)!!! So how to create a Master fader, and how to always have it as default in the mixer?
@@dennisramirez1989 Thanx , yeah i thnik i will just get the pro Do you know what i do if i have to reinstall the computer do i get a serial i can use ? Thank you
would have been nice to compare the whole chain with only keeping the limiter and/or maximizer with the other plugins off. and even better could be to compare this whole chain and only limiter but of the same resulting loudness level.
This is great information but I'm lost at figuring out how you actually get all these plugins exactly where you want them. I can see that you are mastering after you've mixed your song but How are you getting a mixed song into your Cubase after you've mixed it? I know, dumb question. I'm trying to do all of my mastering on my stereo out channel. I take it that's not really the best way. Thank you! Love your videos by the way.
Hi Dom can you tell me the name of hardware you used to control in Cubase while Mixing and Mastering??? I love to have stuff like this for my studio.....looking forward to hear from u....love your tutorial
Limiter + GClip + GClip - this is my mastering chain. Isn't it strange that for such a long time Cubase doesn't have its own hard\soft clipper? I think it is.

As always, clear explanations and another time the same concept : it's not the plugin , is knowledge and training. Great Dom !!!
Great tutorials as always! Please explain routing track by track. Thanks!
This is one of the most enjoyable feature-rich videos I've ever seen on RUclips.
After including all of these plugins, the sound quality is totally on another level. Thank you, Dum
I knew nothing, Gaddamn. thank you Dom you're a genius
No doubt a killer video! Thank you Dom for sharing your knowledge.
I especially like the usage of Cubase stock plugins
can you please explain the routing? specially to the stereo output channel. thanks
This is serious advanced knowledge on mastering!! Thank you very much for this masterclass!!!
Tha is so cool, but it will be amazing if we can have also the template! THX

Great video Dom, really opened my eyes and ears to Cubase's built in tools & mastering. Cheers Dave

mix sounding great now and loud as well,, thankyou so much dom sir.
Thanks ! I'd like to have a video for the A B comparison in Control Room.

Brilliant as always Dom!
As usual, a brilliant video. Thanks, Dom!
Hi Dom, great video . Can you explain how to take care of the frequencies balance for mastering while using multiple plugins in cubase please.
Nice. Great video. Love that tune too. Really catchy.
After i add try this except the squasher and Quadra ( based on my mix ) my mastered is completely change a lot.
I can't sleep from thinking of all the incredible magic that happened in my mix after I watched this video. A revelation.

The reference track goes out directly to the stereo out? Doesn't it affect the levels on it?
Just pure gold!

Nice video Dom it is very helpful for us.Can provide the mixing template for us it is very helpful for everyone.Thak you
Great and very helpful!!!
You are amazing Dom! Very impressive :)
You are amazing dude.
Very nice work Dom
You are my go-to bro,

that was amazing! Outstanding job! any way we could get the the, plate? LOL
Thank you!
awesome.. hey Dom could you expand on this video and do a multi song master for cd and include CD Authoring process ???
Thanks so much .

So, both 'Mix' and 'Parallel compresión' channels go to Master bus? or only 'Mix' channel goes to Master bus?
Obviously that's how it done ✅, that's why it's called parallel compression
@@PiyushSahu-do5dp after asking I just did what all of us should do: try it... Hehehe and made more sense if both channels go to mix bus 😁😅
Thankyou again Dom 🎉
Dom: brilliant, thank you but if one has Wavelab presumably you set this chain up in that instead?
Hey, Dom! Thanks for this.
Now that there's CB13, would you change anything in this chain?
well done , thanks a lot
Great tutorial 👌
Great video! Thanks😊
Another great video thanks dom. BTW what new midi controller can I see there
I love on vocals the plugin fresh air 😻 but is there a cubase stock plugin thal also can do the air? Thx
hi thank you. for what you need the master vca?
Hi Dom, you do you like the AR TG?
Use this and a soft clipper too.
hi, when i try to rebuild that, my parallel compressor (FX-Send) is always Mono?
Excellent video
im stuck trying to set up master bus, please advice
the master bus, is just a group channel, where the master wav file channel is linked to, as output
❤ thank you! 😊
Dom please give us link to download preset of mastering chain plugins. Thanks
Very helpful
Is that Dua Lipa singing? Sounds great!
Amazing
Hi, Creating the FX channel, i get the sound of phaser i dont understand why?
Amazing i like it
What's the name of that track? I'd like to hear the finished product.
So I should apply dither even when I am not going from 24 bit to 16 bit right?
I’m curious as you, as from what I know, dithering is necessary when going from 24 48 to a lower bit or sample rate. Otherwise, wouldn’t it add more noise to the sound?

just render it, that's it

You just drag the exporter WAV file into the master project. Remember to have the project setup in the same hz and bit format😊
I've always said it: if you have Cubase Pro 12 - you don't need Ozone....
He has the Tonal Balance Control in his Control Room...

amazing tutorial 👍 why the hell am I buyin 3rd party plugins

Isn't it strange that for such a long time Cubase doesn't have its own hard\soft clipper? I think it is.
Cubase does have SoftClipper, though admittedly it isn't as versatile as one would hope.
It is a bit sloppy, I don not get the complete routing - or is it me?
You are gorgeous
Am I the only one that doesnt notice a difference at all?
i notice a big sonic diff o my monitors and head phones slate vsx
