aww maan jay im in pain my axe was stolen yesterday and now i see with the beautiful yani coolin with soul hopfully i can save up for a silver w037 and show you jazz guys a thing or two about balkan technique buetiful ballads on the channel keep em going
Song sung blue. You took the saddest song and made me happy. You did nothing to convey the deep melancholy and despair of the original intent and for that I thank you.
Jay, you asked your followers who their favorite artists are. I watch this and you're one of mine. Aside from enjoying watching you play the video provides more. I'm still trying to get my embouchure down. By watching videos like this I can study your's as well as your articulation. Thanks.
Hi Jay, Just bought your backing tracks vol 1 . Is there any chance you could do a track for im a fool to want you , the Dexter Gordon version ? Cheers
J'apprécie beaucoup ton jeux de ces temps-ci, Jay. C'est la saison morte et je peux me permettre de travailler les standards sur l'alto. et je t'écoute pour l'inspiration. Lovely.
Sweet! After your reviews of the JJ Jet mouthpieces I purchased for my Alto and Tenor as I could afford them.. WOW! What a difference. The Funk Band I am in just swallowed my Alto on my Meyer's Bro's NY 6, however, the Jet really cuts through. My only regret is I purchased them both before your new Burnin' line was introduced.. I tend to make more $$ playing solo, so maybe with all the "Trax" I have purchased I can afford a Burnin example soon! One question concerning your setup in this piece. You have often noted your preference for Single Screw Ligs like the Duo (Awesome Reed retention.. world's better than the "H"). ON this recording you have on a 2 screw lig. I know the Lig doesn't make the Gig, but what influenced your choice of the 2 screw in this case? I am EXCITED to try the JJ Power Ring I ordered, mainly for quicker setup as lately I am always playing 3 horns and every moment I can save in setup/ breakdown is valued. Thanks for all you do and your consistent efforts to make sure anyone who wants the tools to improve has the knowledge and access if we will just invest the time!
My power ring and most of my other alto ligs are at the office and I recorded this at home. Just grabbed the closest one. Glad the jet is working for you.
That creepy eye contact used to make me uncomfortable, but now I kind of like it....
I have always liked it
I hear ya man
spooky
Another top notch preformed tune. You really never do disappoint.

Amazing video as always. Your playing is incredible and touching. Keep up the good work man 💯
Jay… man you’ve grown. Love this. It’s you and all of us. Many thanks. EddieZ
DAMNNNNNNNN I am in loveeeeee
Amazing! Beautiful tone. Syrupy, silky goodness. Though during the first head you were starring into the camera like you lusting after my beer.
Sorry I like beer a lot.
@@bettertrax5640 🤣 comes with being a horn player, eh? Again, bravo. Love your playing and your reviews. Been of great help to me. 🙏🏼
Fantastic ! I played it twice in row

Muy Chulo...very cool..pete.....Spain
Nicely done!
Can I buy the score please?
I feel like most versions of this standard are gold, mainly the versions of Bill Evans and Paul Desmond. This one is pretty amazing too!
Do you have any tabs or sheet music for this, I want to learn this so bad on my guitar
Fantastic
Very soothing sax tone with an stressed face expression. Now from trumpet I want to switch to sax 😑
good job!
Top Performance! Will the MP's be selled in the EU ?
Yes soon!
Hello, what is the name of your mouthpiece and which reed are you ? using? I like the tone?
Hello! Awesome cover ! Please let us know what brand/ model is your sax and mouthpiece!! 😅
BetterSax alto and Burnin' mouthpiece
Jay, Do the lead sheets have note for note transcription of the melody and your solos?

The best... mouthpiece?
This rendition is right up there with Eva Cassidy's.
2:34 tasty!
That was my grandmas favourite song, sounds like it was your granny's as well
Would've been even better if you'd used a cane reed 😉
Synthetic reeds for that kazoo like tone. Cane for when you actually want to sound like a jazz musician. 😂
A trop vouloir en faire on ne retrouve absolument plus la beauté de l.original
Eyebrows = stank meter
not trying to be rude, but you playing and starring at the camera is kinda creepy
