Bizarrely I only very recently “discovered “ The Staves by Shazaming a song being played in a Tesco Metro supermarket!! I was browsing in the clothing aisle and slowly realised that I was utterly entranced by the beautiful melodic harmonies that I could hear as background music. It reminded me of a group called “Au Revoir Simone” whom, coincidentally, I also first heard as background music in a long-lost to Amazon wonderful bookstore in my nearest city. I’m astounded that I have never before come across this amazing band and I’m excited to discover more about their music. Long live Shazam! Ps... also , long live all Good Women! I think many women have, sadly, experienced psychological manipulation , leading to self-doubt and lack of confidence, at the hands of a “loving” partner! It takes real strength to not only break free of that- but to come back stronger!! Well done, that woman! X

Discovered the Staves years ago through NPR in LA, been a fan ever since. Wishing they played in the US more.
