Thank you for making these videos! I have been using these and drum charts to learn songs I've been wanting to play/new songs. Would it be possible for you to play colors by Crossfade? If so that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for the awesome content.
Huey Lewis sued Parker and the filmmakers over that, which was settled out of court. However, one of the stipulations of the settlement was an NDA regarding the details of the case, which wound up coming back to haunt Lewis when Parker sued him for violating the NDA after Lewis appeared on VH1's Behind the Music in 2001 and reiterated that Parker stole the song. The reason why Ghostbusters wound up sounding so similar to I Want a New Drug is because the filmmakers used the latter as temporary background music during production, and they had attempted to get Huey Lewis and the News to record the theme song, a request that was turned down. When Ray Parker Jr. was brought on to do the song, the filmmakers showed him the scenes that had I Want a New Drug playing in the background as a reference, so I actually think that it was the fault of the filmmakers, not Parker.

I've said it for years, but Ray Parker Jr. stole the rhythm and beat from Huey Lewis and the News' I Want a New Drug for this song.
