For anyone curious about the note counts: Guitar: GH3 - 1,917 / RB4 - 1,687 (-230) Bass: GH3 - 1,599 / RB4 - 1,758 (+159) 3:01 would be the main reason for the large difference. The bass solo is worth 16,000 which means that has 160 notes. Also, the intro riff / 2:25 have far fewer notes and 1:50 has 3-note chords instead of 3 separate notes.
I was kinda bummed when I saw that 3:01 was missing on guitars, watching the FBFC and seeing it back on the bass relaxed me, I don't think I've ever played this song on bass on GH3 so I don't really know what's in there. That side note out of the way, interesting analysis, I assumed correctly that GH3's guitar had a massive amount of added notes and sections, but I'm assuming it was because of the engine at the time, besides that, it's heartwarming how they kept it pretty faithful to the original chart, because the original chart was pretty good already.
It is absolutely incredible how they added new Muse DLC after all these years. I am still mind-blown that it actually happened. I hope they add Uprising, Time is Running Out, and Unnatural Selection as well. I also wonder when the next Muse DLC release will be lol
Absolute BANGER track, brings me back to the good ol days of GH3. Fantastic charts as well. Thank god they kept those terrible strumming lanes away from this one
Getting a FC on this song with the RB4 Stratocaster is nearly impossible. I don't know why but maintaining a fast alt-strum for an extended period like in the solo is just way too fatiguing with that controller.
You gotta hold the strumbar loose, by doing that I got this on guitar pretty quick. That being said, strumming is naturally my strength on guitar so YMMV
In my opinion, not a bad chart. Also I imagined the synth solo on the bass instead of the guitar chart. Also no lanes on it makes it more challenging. Or idk, but yeah. Although on verse, GH3 chart has a single note, respecting the sustain, into the extended sustains that was applied on further GH games.
The solos in this song feel entirely random. Like why does the drum solo stop long before the drums actually go back to doing the normal thing. Why is only the first half of the synth bridge a bass solo. And that drum chart looks hideous in some places. That aside, it's still good to see that HMX have the capability of listening.
The drum solo marker ends because that where the drum solo ends. The section after the drum solo is the same as the intro on drums and only the marked solo is truly different.
@@addymillscustoms It feels like they should've just either made the entire section a drum solo or not had one at all. The toms are still quite different from the intro, especially since there's no awkward fade in.
This song chat is a perfect example of why Harmonix's decision to remove Keyboard from RB4 was stupid. I played the custom RB3 version of this song that had Keyboard, and it really did improve the chart, especially by putting the synth part on the keyboard while allowing Guitar and Bass to stick to their own instruments. The later part of the song didn't feel "off" as many comments said. Also, unlike some, I LIKE when they put those strum lanes in the intro and rapid parts in the custom. I don't care if it makes it easier. Them removing them (or not having them) in this is another downgrade.
The usage of solos in this song is baffling, I'm not a fan of the mixing either tbh. I can't quite place why it doesn't feel right but it feels horrifically wrong for some reason. But hey at least we have Muse now!
@@paulsd9255 I'm a fan of being able to hear the harmonies tbh, I don't really like when some instruments go off to the side instead of being front and center. Like the guitar goes off to the left ear as the other instruments go to the right ear in some sections and it does not feel good.
Maybe I’m so used to seeing the GH3 chart, but this looks undercharted in spots and the song itself sounds super fucking weird. Could be I’m just used to playing on a faster hyper speed, but something about this chart is just rubbing me the wrong way. I don’t know what the hell HMX did to this song to butcher it but at least Muse has made a return lol. Great FC as well.
I love seeing a Rock Band channel being active in 2022!

That's actually played on bass? I thought it was a special effect thing
Is this version of the song different from GH3 because of intro riff?
this song is a banger on all instruments what a good dlc for rockband
I love the fact that half the song hasn't been finished, the game already gave you Gold Stars.
One of my favorite Muse songs
Wow! You Guys Literally Nailed the Shot, and Especially the Bass Player who nailed Every Note in the Bass Tapping Solo! That was Awesome!

something about the charting of the bass is off - the actual gallop played is WAY faster but overall not bad
Better late than never I guess.

it is actually a bass solo, its played by tapping with a synth pedal!
audio montado en el video o estaba mal adaptado la sincronización referente a los instrumentos??
Issue with the recording device. The song is not out of sync in game

I think it sounds a hell of alot better than the GH3 mix.
The mixing is probably off to you because it isn't just the Guitar front and center. That or the harmonies being as loud as the main singer.

It’s kinda close to the Rocksmith arrangement. So imma say this is more proof rockband tries to go for the more accurate charting
