Insane Speeds! Closing out 2024 on a high note! I miss boating on the weekends, just been too busy or bad weather. Waiting for the Kraken 150 & 180 to arrive from Aliexpress. Got the wifi card to see if it shows data, id be excited if it does.
Big b thanks for the prop tips. There are a couple of guys modifying props that are charging a lot of money for it, albeit worth it from what I've seen. But to be able to do it yourself is awesome. I've learned a lot about this from you and i hope that you'll do a video on the do's and don'ts on this. I understand that you might not be the master of the universe on this but I'm pretty sure that what you've learned up to now will make us all faster and better.
Shaping the trailing edge is really something i wanted to try and did and learned from your channel. And for instance read on a forum about reducing diameter slightly in case off an abc. Made my own mix off thing and it became my fastest prop. Sure, a prepped prop might be faster, but how nice is it when you can do these things yourself...
I really like the start of the video where you go over the different types of cupping modifications, prop sizes, and potential successes or setbacks. The details you're showing and explaining puts forth a great preface to the rest of the video. 62 Mph! Wow 🏁🇺🇸 That's almost 100% faster than the stock version Insane speeds, and stability!
Thanks, some of the modifications I do are questionable because I'm still learning, that being said i ha e had good success adding an aggressive cup on the trailing edge. Over the years I have noticed to much cup to do the opposite of what we're trying to accomplish. Incrementally cup the props test then go back to the bench.
Jandrmarine I would already have this boat if the canopy fit better, even big b indirectly isn't happy with it. I know that you are trying to promote this boat the best you can and you actually have a great boat from what I've seen but spend some time and money on getting the canopy right. Who knows you just might create your own racing class. Fix the canopy, look at other companies and what they've done. Once you do I'd love to be the first to buy one.
Rather than spending a lot of time getting the canopy to fit to "IRONCLAD" specifications, just use green electrical tape. It's opaque, hides the uneven gaps, and is nearly invisible when running.... 😉
I really like your prop development stuff. It's gonna come in handy in the spring after ice out. This is off topic though. OSE has servo arms with 24 and 25 tooth splines. My Airtronics servos have 21. Nobody covers this and servo mfgrs don't spec this out. What gives?
I want to test a theory I have which is the opposite, meaning using a blade with higher pitch in general but de-pitching very gently at the trailing edge, I think (and I might very well be wrong) that this might reduce current demand, and cavitation.

Fresh video!!
Great job brother and amazing you can get this little boat to run so fast. Great success for the speed you’re getting.
Appreciate it! Can't wait to try some more props! Fun and fast little boat

Too darn windy up here in michigan but decent Temps 50s
Windy here too, i have a couple boats prepared for the speed run spot but haven't been able to go.
