Also, if you lay a flat blade on the area where the ice sits, is the blade above that plate at all??? i just got one and the blade is about a couple 1/6th of an inch above the place. thanks for the informative video.

I purchased this ice shave machine & it came with the top cover cracked & broken & missing the side handle…. I boxed it up & returned it … I’m very interested in an ice shave machine but very hesitant to re-purchase this item because I’m very leery of their quality control department allowing this unit being shipped to a customer in this condition… the packaging wasn’t damaged & In great condition… I was VERY disappointed with the condition of the product on the inside
Great machine, but unfortunately can't say the same for the instructions. The ice chipped when clamped down, and completely off balance and wobbling. Not sure if your unit was missing the shield, but had the ice block come loose and hit someone, it couldn't ended poorly.
