1:40 if you lack the Zodiac weapon, you cannot purchase replicas of them (Maybe if it was given for the HW relic start). But I do not have my ARR Warrior and Dragoon weapons and I cannot get replicas for them no more. So gotta be certain to have a replica of your weapon BEFORE losing the Zodiac weapon :) -Still about the first step, no required, but IF you wanna do ShB relic weapons, it is very time efficient to have their HW fates grind quest while also doing your HW relic, it's 2 two quests grind at the same time. Not required! Just some efficienty funfact for any relic hunters :) 7:40 you can make quite some seals with all the fates grind from the first step and the dungeons ran for the second by selling the dungeons gears for Seals. Won't get you 80k, but with a leveling roulette and guildhest, can be some quick easy seals to get them ;) but those are just smol tips or trick I got from doing every single ones Great guide and showcase of how it is to do them!
Cronus/Cronus Lux is badass :D for "Toughening Up" you may use duty support, especially for the hw duties for "Coming Into Its Own": you ran 10 dungeons one step prior; now sell your loot to Grand Company for seals. also means grab each and every treasure chest in the dungeons and be greedy during other duty roulettes.
15:25 the best one to do is dance, magic dance their 3 chest spawn and you can easily just mount up fly around in the very small circle they spawn in and then redo. You should try it out to see how well it is, it lvl 58 leve quest
Followed your guide! Great stuff! Some tips that I have, if you're like level 100 and want to smash this out, For poetics Hunts are a really good way to farm get like 100 per hunt and in a train you can grind out poetics in no time, also with the crystal sand part crafter gather scripts is great cause you can do deliveries in a few mins and get more than enough scripts, and lastly for born again anima deffo go with GC seals if you can, just a couple duty supports at max level hand the items in for GC and you're done :) Thanks for the guide! deffo helped figure out what i needed to do :)
On the sand part of the grind, if you don't have crafters and already spent all of your leve permits, and do not wish to wait another 2 weeks for them to reset, I recommend farming Ifrit, Titan and Shiva extreme. Playing them unsynced, alone, as a DRK took me about 30-45 seconds each fight, mostly because all of them become invulnerable and you have to wait until the animations finish to kill them, if this not happened, it could be done in way less time. Anyway, by defeating them you may get the item you need, and then trade those items for 2 sands each. The drop hate is not great, but it is super easy and quick to do. After spending my 100 leve permits, I only had to acquire 7 items of each trial to finish this part of the weapon
Added bonus to the EX version, if you do them on your Tanks, each run counts towards the "But Somebody's Gotta Do It" achievements, which reward a unique mount for each Tank.
If you're good about rolling for gear and trading them in for grand company seals, Moonstones are also a very good way to grind the Crystal Sand Step on the side!
moonstones are expensive as hell IMHO 2 crystal sands for 5 moonstones = 20.000 seals gone. spend your allowances for hw levequests and hope for the amber-encased vilekin instead :) so far (me gathers for 3 relics at the moment) i cannot recommend sands via moonstones unless you sit at gc seals cap and you are able to replenish seals as seals are also useful for pneumite. 60000 seals or 1500 poetics for 15 pneumite during the non-lux weapon questline is the deal; use whatever your account is able to provide. as you have to spend poetics for ~60 umbrite to the tune of ~4500 poetics you may rely on gc seals for pneumite and not spend them on moonstones to procure crystal sands just my 2 gil on the matter :D
The grand company seals is fairly easy. If you're high level you can trade dgn gear drops for seals to get the duck bones, king cake, etc. Also, the best farm for poetics is Hunt Trains and S ranks. You recieve a ridiculous amount ranging 500 - 1k poetics for hunt trains and 100 poetics per S rank (200 extra poetics if minion). Super enchanted ink and thavnairian mist is the easiest alternative method if you can't obtain the other way.

Definitely bookmarkingb this for later. I starting playing a little over a year ago so i ignored all the relic weapons up till Manderville. Now i saw the astro weapon and i want it and i got the time waiting on new msq.
yeah this guide is what mostly people do and i do, its very fast to do anima, even better if you're aiming to collect every anima, when you're doing the FATEs farming for crystals, better to not submit too fast but farm X times until you have enough for all animas, before moving to next step, so you don't have to suffer from FATEs anymore in the future
Another tip for A Dream Fulfilled, for the crystal sand - three of the items you can trade in are from crafting, one is garlond steel, another is a certain leather, and the last is celestine - these sell on the merketboard fairly cheaply. I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 250-300k (on 60 leather) just to try and make this easier on myself. The poetocs grind already made my eyes wanna bleed lol. Damn you, AST, and your gorgeous weapons from here...
At this point, the worst part is the beggining, doing those fates and all those dungeons is a borefest, the rest can be done on the side with your usual roulettes and whatnot. Final 2 steps could seem annoying as well but it's a bit more encouraging doing it together with other people with the same goal in mind, plus, it's done in like an hour or two.
I think the weekly singing cluster quest changed to a daily thing cause it was saying it was going to reset tomorrow at 3 am and I'm 100% sure its the correct quest cause you get that quest from the black clothe twin
Best advice for this weapon is grind it in the background and slowly acquire all the materials. Easily obtainable in a week just doing a couple hours of duty grinding and cashing in all your dungeon loot for company seals. Legit at lvl 80 took me 1 hour and 45 minutes with all the prepping done.
But how to i juice the form i want? For example i never did a quest for the base form. I finish this one and just upgrade till i reach the form i desire? But what if i want the one from HV? Do i accept a different quest for it?
I have to be going crazy.. I have turned this in 5 times and each time it fails and I get my book of the mad queen back. I dont know if you even will see this but what am I doing wrong
There must be something absolutely wrong then. I farmed A9S with a friend for hour and a half, spoiler, it takes us 2 minutes in total to clear the stage with all the loading done. So at least 40 times we cleared it, our lightfarm is at maybe half. I don't know what's up but just damn....

I'm trying to start the quest for my reaper. I started it with a paladin and stopped at a dream fulfilled but I can't start it for reaper. Anyone know why?
Is it just me or did they take a dungeon out of the second phase of dungeon grinding? I swear it was 4 each phase. I have all the HW relics so it’s been a while since I have done it so I could be wrong xD
me solved "Toughening Up" for some relics in 2023 and it was 10 dungeons every time for the stage of non-lux versions it is 3 hard modes +density gathering lux version should be 12 trials but i cannot report back on that by now, still in density gather mode :(
The vocal minority of people who don't like FATEs won out, it seems. Honestly I don't mind a FATE grind, as long as it's not a specifically named FATE _(looking at you, ARR books)_
I understand Tubers need to find ways to make content, but this laughably redundant at best and at worst terrible. Tome grind, do dallies/bozja/hunt trains. Trains give you nuts (and tomes) that can be used to get GC seals. Bozja can cap 2k in an hour while also lvling. Suggesting people either grind ARR tribes or unsync Alexander savage is more of a waste of time then unlocking bozja (anorher relic) or getting aether currents.
I never suggested that people should waste their time running alex over 100 times, I also never suggested anyone to level their beast tribes. I merely mentioned these as options for those who may be interested. This relic can be completed in numerous ways and I wanted to give several options. Please watch the video before making yourself look like a jackass.
It's actually useful information for me, because I leveled rep with some beast tribes already, so I know I can use the poetics on materials I can't get from extra sources. Saves me time and poetics I may have used when I can get them from alternative methods, everyone ain't doing this from the same starting point.
just once, i wish someone make a guide that considers trial players. part of the guide is just "be level 90 and cheese your way through the content" just like every single other "guide" for this. literally not a single person offers up an alternative suggestion. whats the point of 10 different people making the same guide where they tell you to the same exact thing.
To be fair, if you're on the trial version of the game, why would you spend that time relic hunting? Like go enjoy the story. Play all that content before worrying about relics. If you're doing relics as part of some sort of completion compulsion, that's still not something to consider during the trial game.

You can also visit a Rowena's Representative NPC in any of the main cities (usually near their aetherytes) to buy the Poetics items.

If you're working on ARR relics, too, a single 5/6/7/80 roulette counts for both the Singing Cluster and Alexandrite daily quests.

reaper doesn't have an anima relic weapon, the only relic weapon they have is the manderville one which starts in endwalker
Only problem with this guide is just arriving in HW its probably easier to just grind the steps than get to level 80 or 90 first XD
