Being able to pay 2000$ a month for a mortgage is not the same as being able to afford to save up 25000$ on top of that. The facilities needed to refine crude oil are obscenely expensive to build, and really, really destructive to the environment. It's cheaper to import refined product, and US oil companies get to keep their crazy profits. So, in a nutshell, we can't use the oil we export. We need the refined product from other nations.

Crude oil is one thing. That's what we have a lot of. Refined oil, like into the type of fuel we can put in our cars, is another thing entirely. The facilities needed to refine crude oil are obscenely expensive to build, and really, really destructive to the environment. The oil companies in the US have opted not to build these facilities, I'm sure that whatever government regulations would have slapped on them factored into this decision. It's cheaper to import refined product, and US oil companies get to keep their crazy profits. So, in a nutshell, we can't use the oil we export. We need the refined product from other nations.

I'm not opposed to a woman being president, but I have reservations about this particular candidate. She lacks true vision, relying instead on ambition. Her rise to power raises concerns - she began by engaging in an affair with a married man, then was unexpectedly selected as VP, and now finds herself in her current position. Genuine leadership is a natural, God-given quality, not something manufactured or manipulated. This feels like a orchestrated attempt to install her, using smoke and mirrors. I won't support a candidate who seems more like a puppet than a true leader.
She's actually more brilliant than I thought. Now, the only way they can argue against her plan to attack price gouging is to admit that inflation wasn't Biden and her fault!

You have to also look at the state sales tax on gasoline sales. Some states have higher rates than others. Research how the sales tax is being used by each state. Most likely for maintaining roads and bridges.

I implore democrats to watch a documentary by Mike Maloney "Rome vs USA" here on YT. It's part of a series he did like 10 years ago. In the video he talks about Rome going after price gougers. The Roman Emperor Diocietian in 301 AD fixed prices. And the result was basically hyper inflation and since people could not make a profit in one line of work they would quit and go into a different industry. The result was there were shortages. So please please please do not vote to repeat history.
We are about to have AI and robots able to do most jobs better and cheaper than people. Tons of resources and lack of jobs causing rapid deflation is more likely.
