To me it sounds like the final area of an rpg, more specifically one that's doing flashbacks to your first encounter with the big bad as you're dealing with him now.
Or the end battle music of a PS2 game. Seek and Destroy had music like this and it was awesome.

IKR! There are only three corps that I think could pull this off the right way - Crown, SCV, and BAC
A lot of people are suggesting this would make for a good DCI show, and while I have no idea how to make that happen, I would loose my mind if it did!
