So glad i finally found this video. This was my first video seeing after learning about the Atacama Desert and no other soundtrack ever came close, had me searching for a while lol
look at all those meteors streaking across the sky . . . I remember seeing a video at "Astronomy Picture of the Day" showing data of all the asteroids over the course of years; i said to myself; we're in a shooting gallery! And yes, I can't wait for Alma to be completed! There's also on the Russian news for the day, Russia's "Spectr R" space radio interferometer that will begin regular science in a month or two!
guys 1080p would be so f.... awesome !!!! 720p is also good , but not so sharp ... if you can next time pls fullHD :-)) ... anyway, love to watch these
The asteroid belt at 4:48 and the star being formed in that dark ring right before at 4:42 - it's all animation!. Come on, you guys, show us the real stuff! We like the animation, but don't slip it in there as if to say that's what ALMA is "seeing."
Did you guys secretly fire Dr. J without telling us and that's why we get these slideshows? If he doesn't want to do it anymore I'd like to see Rebecca Barnes from Science@ESA or someone at least give the information, it is a podcast after all. Having to pause it every so often to read the text is annoying, pretty pictures are nice, but it's not as informational as when someone is presenting it.
