    Samsung AFC is the old 15W protocol.
    Samsung Super Fast Charging (SFC) uses the standard PD PPS, not AFC.

    For samsung phones, PPS protocol will get you super fast charging. If the charger does PD or AFC protocol then it will be only fast charging. Also when testing protocol on chargers when plugged directly into them you have to select e-marker cable simulation to get over 60w PD, you can select either 20v5amp or 50v5amp cable simulation. The option is to the right of be ready when you go into protocol testing.

    You couldn’t have posted this at a better time. I just ordered an AVHzY C3 that arrived yesterday and I’m not super happy with it. Usb c male end is bent and the controls just aren’t great. So that put me on my search for something better and found this. Thanks for the detailed look. It seems to be the best tester currently available.

    The Power-Z actually showed that the cable that comes with the 737 power bank is capable of 48V 5A, so 240W, even though the cable says 140
    Not sure if it’s the same for the 765 cable

    Also if your just wanting to test protocol on chargers, you can power this through the HID port to keep it on all the time.

    The takeaway here is that the industry has made a total mess out of the protocols for fast charging. There should be ONE industry standard protocol. Charging devices deliver a specified voltage at a specified current limit. It's not that complicated. We have corporate greed and copyright shenanigans to thank for the mess.

    Thank you so much. I purchased one of these last week and can not get it to detect charging protocols on anything. I also have a AVHzy CT3 that does all this perfectly. And was hoping to replace it with this easier to use with its Type C connectors. I will be sending the ChargerLab Power-Z KM003C back on Monday. Thanks again for showing us exactly how to use this. Mine is obviously faulty.

    Thanks for bringing attention to your mental health. The amount of stigma surrounding men's mental health is counterproductive to healing. One day all of us will be able to comfortably discuss mental health struggles and seek support.

    10:20 is your 140w cable sometimes doing only 54w?
    I have the same Anker power banks but for some reason, the 140w cable does only 54w when I change to another 140w cable that was bought separately it does charge ~140w. I believe they are some defects with the cables that came with eh power banks

      @@estebanod Not really , I believe there was a problem with the cable - by the way Anker replaced the power bank with 'cause after 2 month it start
      to charge and they send me a new one. The powerbank is Anker 737

    AFC bricks that came with phones was only 15W. Seems like a long time ago with my Galaxy 8, but the Super Fast Charging bricks are only 25W. Although they also sell 35W (i.e. dual port brick) and 45W charging bricks marketed as tablet accessories, but do with with S22/S23, or at least the Ultra model LOL. But on phone it still says the same Super Fast Charging and wouldn't know any different.

    • @CrashPro1
      @CrashPro1 Год назад

      However, the Note 20 that replaced my S8 was maxed with the 25W brick.

    • @CrashPro1
      @CrashPro1 Год назад +1

      I believe at the end you're confusing AFC with PD3.0 w/ PPS. That's what Samsung uses for newer devices to achieve "Super Fast Charging" (Note 20 and beyond, I believe?)
