This is our first time in Xi'an and already the street food here is INCREDIBLE! Xi'an street food is predominately muslim Chinese food! We taste spicy and mouth-numbing Chinese food such as beef pancakes, thick beef soup and more halal street food!
Besides eating in Xi'an there is lots of attractions including the Old City Wall of Xi'an, China which we visit in this video! The food here in Northern China is a lot different than what we are used to trying in Taiwan, we love all the bread and spices used in this unique and UNUSUAL Chinese food!

I'm a Chinese，I want to share to you that a province called Yinchuan is a Muslim city, almost all the food offered is Muslim standard, it's a nice place for muslim travelers to go!
There are a lot of Lanzhou noodles restaurants in China.

We went to Xi’an 3 years ago. Walking along 500 mts full of street food near The Beautiful Old Mosque. And all halal.
Something that we didn’t expecting exist in China. Wooww

Yup I meant what do you guys listen to for fun. Have you heard of the Arkells...they're a rock band from Hamilton, ON. Awesome band! I lived in res with those guys when they were starting up back in 2004. They've done pretty well for themselves! I'm still kicking myself for not offering to play bass for them back then...gah!
That city wall is amazing! So well preserved! Everything you picked is right on today. I'm most impressed with the beef bun, though I prefer things baked in tandoori ovens, Chinese food is so greasy! That soup is a regional trademark, and you're supposed to break the bread into smallest pieces possible, and looks like you found a really nice shop for it.
Besides food, scenics and touristy stuff, I'd also like to see local lifestyles, way of life, what they think, feel, and believe in. I think that'd be very interesting, and see how food tie the whole culture together.

• Niū Migao (Sticky Rice Cake with Red Bean Paste)
• Niū Rou Xian Bing (Beef Bun)
• Osmanthus Cake (Yellow osmanthus-flavored cake topped with red date paste.)
• Thick Soup filled with Bread
• Zhongzi (Bamboo Leaf wrapped Rice Cake)

The owner calls the meal in the white foam container, the Niú Migāo. It means “cow rice cake” in Chinese.
The savory flattened buns filled with beef and cabbage are called niu rou xian bing that are shaped like hockey pucks.
The Osmanthus Cake is prepared in Xi’an, China. It is a yellow cake made out of sticky rice topped with red date paste made on China.

It's 'Zong Zi'. Not 'Zhong Zi'. Ask a real Chinese who understands Hanyu Pinyin.
Sticky Rice is pronounced Nuo Mi, so the first thing you had is actually Sticky Rice Cake, had nothing to do with cow, which is pronounced Niu (as you pronounced it in the video) Watch out and don't eat too much sticky rice in one day, as it is harder on the digestion. =)

You never fail to impress us. That was great I start considering going to China for a visit but I don't know which season is best to travel there??
We visited through march and April and it was very pleasant! Can get really hot in the summer! also china is huge so it depends on where you go!

Hanna Nice in winter it’s less crowded and hotels may be cheaper
Go during late autumn (October), winter (try to avoid the north because of coal-fired power plants, also avoid Chinese New Year), and spring (before May). Bring different seasonal outfits because the weather/climate in China varies like crazy

This kind of birds has been domesticated by chinese for thousands of years, people start to breed them from eggs,so most of them are not wild animals.It's like dogs, and once they are free, they will soon starve to death.

One of those was a great tit, that has not been bred for years, it was probably captured recently. Birds do not belong in small cages whether for food or entertainment. They've been boiling dogs alive as well for years and killing animals for bullshit medical potions and that ain't right either. We all know where man comes up short, it is by calling it tradition is where we turn a blind eye. The west is also poor in this regard too.
Forgive me for prying but I'm genuinely curious , do you guys still have jobs in Taiwan? Or are you able to finance trips and living thru the RUclips videos ?

Xinjiang too is relatively safe there too. My Pakistani uncle, my Turkish aunt and their children went there too.

Luke...work on your narratives and story telling...to draw your audience into your story...like the Beef Roll...you were guessing what spices were in it....you should have asked...how many cakes a day is made...how long does it take...how long has she been making it...where did she get the recipe...
Add more depth to your story instead of letting the camera just roll...you need to give it 200%...watch Mark Wiens, Food Ranger, Best Ever Food Review etc...

Tonya Pedraza they only walked a half of the wall, from north gate to south gate. If they want to finish walking all the wall, it will take them a whole day. Right now Xi'an es much larger than the old city which is srounded by the city wall.
