This was so educational for me because my first fishing challenge came from Eva Beach, Oahu Hawaii catching 3' hammerhead sharks with only a handline and an H-shaped wooden device as my reel. I was 9,10 & 11 years old and I was amazed then and I'm amazed NOW that I've found your channel AND Your artwork in the Intro clip is phenomenal 😍🥰❣🌹

Another awesome video. Wanted to let you know Bonita and bonito are different. In the Atlantic you guys catch Bonita, which is related to a mackerel, on the west coast of Florida, in the gulf we catch bonito, aka little tunny, which is related to the tuna family.

That’s awesome Kelly! I hav a bit of a thing about bull sharks had one harass me when I was spear fishing. Ended up just giving him my 15 lb hog snapper. Didn’t want to hurt him. It’s ok though, we moved to a different spot and I shot a 20 pounder😊
Mistakes happen, and they will come up to you if you aren’t looking but 99% of the time turn away and swim back down. It’s always good to be cautious and careful when dealing with anything that is dangerous :) it’s all about understanding

If you notice "Dusky the shy shark" 22:47 was cautious because he had a big hook in his mouth! You can see the nasty hook when he eats the fish later. People are scared of sharks because they are viewed as "unpredictable." Imagine the sharks point of view when unpredictable people feed them one day and then hook or spear them the next. Poor Dusky had a close call so he really wanted to be careful! So kind of you to see he got something to eat too.

Depends on the people, more people in the water the sharks are more timid and afraid to coming up to surface. You have to earn their trust just like dogs

People are scared of sharks because they are viewed as "unpredictable." Imagine the sharks point of view when unpredictable people feed them one day and then hook or spear them the next. Poor Dusky had a close call so he really wanted to be careful! So kind of you to see he got something to eat too.

Depends on the people, more people in the water the sharks are more timid and afraid to coming up to surface. You have to earn their trust just like dogs
