I don't know what to say Emily......This song makes my head empty and my heart at ease.....I have played the bagpipes for many years (as a Dutchman) and Auld Lang Syne is one of my favorite tunes. The song is all about old friendships and new ones to come. I've been many times in Scotland and sang this song at the end of gatherings, people shaking hands with crossed arms.
