Forget them haters bro do ya thing ... U stacking they not all they gonna do is keep watching instead of taking action .... Bout to hop on that trucking lifestyle my self kinda started late but shit better late than never
Of course. You can’t be afraid to ask what you believe YOU’RE worth. I started as a new trucker (owner operator ) 2 days per week $ 1400 per day contracted 3 months 15k pounds.
Hey brother, I just found your channel in my recommended list, and I'm glad I did. It takes balls to show your numbers like this, and its exactly the kind of information I feel is lacking for people coming into the industry. I start my training in Springfield MO in less than 2 weeks, and this is similar to what I plan on doing as well. I already have the spreadsheets set up for me to enter my info in and its going to produce a chart that people can view. I plan to show my weekly and monthy pay for the entire first year, beginning after training. I plan to run hard. To me that means trying to get unloaded early, sleeping at shippers, not burning my clock up with detention pay unless I have to, etc. I think it will also help people understand the ups and downs that come with the seasons as well. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there. Thanks for the content.
I have 1 more week of trucking school left. It's an actual college, but that's beside the fact. I hope to be driving for a good company before the first of the yr. wish me luck.
Listen up rookies, entry level companies are just a stepping stone, not a ladder you can climb yet. I work for a broker and I get paid $1650 flat weekly. 90% of the time, its reefer loads and 10% of the time its oversize loads with a low boy trailer. All of my boss's trucks are petes, 18 speed with cat engines, some states we can't go to because of the type of trucks we have. I am home weekly, sometimes Ill be otr for 2 weeks if I have an oversized load (twice the pay). The only downside, if you can consider it a "downside" is that I have to do my own taxes and pay for my own benefits. This is another thing, these benefits that these mega carriers will offer you are twice as cheap if you get it yourself. I worked for a mega carrier for YEARS and they didnt tell me that my premium medical deductable is up to $5,000 a year and it gets refreshed if you don't use it. As far as miles, I run dedicated from NJ to MI, NJ to GA, NJ to ME for reefer loads. The oversize loads can go anywhere except cali, and oregon. I did not regret the decision when the day I turned the truck in for the mega carrier I worked for. My now current boss hired me the next day and he even had a welcome party for me. He has only 15 drivers and he takes care of us like family.
I was making .33 in 1999, 2009 was being paid .41 a mile. Got off the road because of down time between load and not being compensated. This driver fail to mention the number of day for him to drive the 3,232 miles and fail to mention how much time he had to wait between loads. I use to drive from Newark, New jersey to Los Angeles (solo) it would take me four an a half days to drive 2800 miles. Since he pick three separate loads and deliver to separate places it probably took him five to seven days to deliver. Typical pay for new driver, once he's there a while he will making lot less.
I make $750-1200 CLEAR each week on average driving a sprinter van for a fleet owner in HIS van with NO LOG or DOT regulations etc. I make only around .48 per loaded mile and usually have 1 or two days sitting each week. We may be called non professional "Steering Wheel Holders" but, not sure why Cargo Van Expediters get NO RESPECT from many truckers even tho we Hot Shot drivers have the same basic job just without the extra bullshit and drive in a nice small van or straight truck, hell we should get more respect for having to sleep in such a small portion of our van with NON of the fancy sh*t appliances and large sleeper space that truckers take for granted.
"money in trucking 102"... YES, you can make 1500.00 - 1800.00+ gross weekly in trucking and be a company driver. I'm doing it now! Day 1 they gave me a brand new truck (no training) because I have 15 years experience. No stupid APU, I idle all day/everyday. No silly rules and regs and NO bs. We are looking for another driver but you must live in the Tri-State area. If you don't know what that is, don't respond. The pay is exceptional, they pay every single mile you drive even if you get lost or hit the grocery store, No games or gimmicks. .45 cents a mile and IF you want to lump a skid they will pay you extra (a good amount) each skid you lump. Only serious inquires please/go getters and I will start filming soon... I'm going to charge you a finders fee because of this high paying job. The company only has 10 or so trucks, most 2016 or newer. Mine is a 2017 and I actually had to take the plastic off the truck. This is NOT a gimmick and I don't play games. "THE WHITE KNIGHT"!
This shit is kinda depressing. Right now I drive a food delivery app similar to Uber Eats and only drive around in my local area... no more than about 40 miles total per night and only about 20-25 hours a week and Im bringing home around $500 a week on a part time food delivery job where im not driving thousands of miles and away from home for days or weeks at a time. I'm about to take a CDL course at the end of the month and its starting to make me wonder if I picked the right thing. I'd probably be able to pull close to a $1000 a week if I worked thjs delivery app full time. I'm working part time and making full time money. I cant see driving across the country 2000 miles + and only bringing home $1000. I mean thsts nice money but its other stuff out here you can hustle and get the same pay basically. I'm starting to wonder if this is right for me.
What company did you work for? Im at CR England and only been getting 600 a week and feel like i should be making more. I average 5000 miles a week team driving with another guy
All these companies say you make more team driving because yo get twice as many miles and you get paid for the miles your partner drives to, but its not much more where i'm only getting $60-70 more a week than if i was alone.
+KenTheTrucker Yeah im startin to realize that, i used them for school and training and the only good thing is my employement contract is only 6 months where as all the other so called starter companies contracts were 1 year and up. At this point i don't even care about the money, im going to use them to build up my resume and gain some experience and then try to go to a good company i can stay at for a while. I hear alot of good shit about Melton Truck lines so after 6 months im going to give them and a few other companies a call.
+Clay Yeah true but you can always leave early and just pay them the money you owe for school.. Melton is good, them boys over at interstate killing it too
please explain your time management, your stops and clocking in and out, stuff like that. How many miles you run before you stop for the day and what not
what I say is true... I don't tell fish tales. No we don't have cdl school... IF anyone wants to see if I'm telling the truth, ad your email and I'll send you a copy of my paycheck.
A new driver fresh out of truck driving school will not make a $1000.00 a week. They will have to go out with a trainer for 6 to 8 weeks before they give the new driver his own truck and loads so stop telling lies. I have been driving for 17 years and have over a million miles safe driving. I have a local driving job and make $68000.00 a year and home every night
I'm no truck driver but that seems to be what most drivers are earning on YT and they show their paystubs to back it up..many make a lot more with little to no exp. One of my Grandfathers was a truck driver and was making $70/yr 20 years ago running for Hungry Howies Pizza, i believe it was.
16 blocks all that driving aside where else is gonna pay you $750-$800 entry-level? With a negative outlook you will break it down to dollars per hour and feel cheated. If you look at it positive you'll look at it like $750-$800 every 7 days in your pocket starting pay. If you the type that needs down time every seven days lazy and don't understand sacrifice you don't deserve to get paid unless you can just find an overall better career which is fine too. The point is, if you ain't trying to have money yous bullshitting and $750 to $800 a week if not more ain't bad. A lot of jobs don't pay that in 2 weeks and you aren't even developing in a skill that will allow you to move around and have as many options as an experienced CDL holder. Think about it.
@@iSaintChristiano im making $500 a week delivering food through an app and work no more than 20-25 hrs/werk and drive a total of about 40 miles a night. If I was doing it full time I have no doubt id be making $800-$900 per week. A girl I know does it full time and thsts what she told me she makes. I'm getting my CDL at the end of the month and Im having second thoughts. Driving thousands of miles to make what I can make driviny my local community and delivering food....
***** Im 15 right now and I really want to do truck driving for a year or two out of high school to earn some money, not looking for a career do you reccomend me doing that ?

He ain't lying he telling the truth I've been driving for 3 months and I get 900 to 1000 Dollar checks
Of course. You can’t be afraid to ask what you believe YOU’RE worth. I started as a new trucker (owner operator ) 2 days per week $ 1400 per day contracted 3 months 15k pounds.
You're talking in Pounds in the UK?
