You underrate yourself. You deserve much more recognition as a street photographer. Your timing is excellent as is your ability to sense a photo. I can understand the desire to improve your technical skill, there is always room for that.
I have to tell you. You are an inspiration. When i first got a camera id watch your videos to inspire me to go out and shoot. Recently I have hit a block and cant take pictures for some reason and this video series is just what i needed man. Keep shooting keep making these videos like you do and thanks. Been watching since your m3 in Berlin video. All the best
Oh my god! i love these images so much. Like many people have said your timing is amazing and how you frame. I especially love the second photo, also the two pictures you took of dogs. You are what I aspire to be as a photographer and i always look to your work for inspiration, I will be moving to the city in a few weeks and I cant wait to start photographing the street.
i love how you share your mindset and "mindwork" throughout the whole thing! this is absolutely inspiring, we get to be proud of you and motivated to continue our own projects, combo hit! thank you for the videos, ed :)
lovely!!! I am currently in eastern europe shooting m9 mainly with 21mm Biogon without external viewfinder. After a few shots, I am able to anticipate the extra field of view of the 21mm. Since its a wide angle at f8-11, have more than adequate depth of view. All in all, have not needed the viewfinder and agree with your assessment that for most shooting styles, understanding field of view for framing and depth of field for sharpness ( at least one of them in every situation) greatly helps.
Your perseverance paid off! They are all great images! even tho this is my first time leaving a comment, I have been a fan of yours ever since the beginning of your channel. Every time when I feel like I can't go out take any more photos, I come to your channel rewatching all of your videos and they always inspire me to go out again. A lot of the times when anxiety hits, street photography is a very scary thing to do. I really admire your courage, skills and the heart to look for improvements from time to time 👍🏻 please keep doing what you love! wish one day I have the chance to appreciate your literary work as well! All the best to you and Fran (totally a fan of both of your channels 😁)
Nice shots Eduardo. I started using my Leica by zone focusing & shooting without the VF for street & I tell ya, it is sooooo relaxing for me. I also use a 28mm & it's wide enough so you are more focused on what's happening than framing & that's just fine.
Damn, Ed hasn't even gotten started yet in NYC street photography. By the time it's all said and done, Ed will be the King of New York, and all of us mere mortal street shooters will bow down to him.
Good on you for getting out there, Ed. I really appreciate that you are so honest about your experience. I think that street photography is actually really hard, and using a wide angle lens makes things even more difficult. 10/10 for effort
Great job!!!! As an artist and person you are inspiring and amazing as always!! Keep listening to the positives and reject that negative self talk! Can’t wait to see the next two vids!!!
Buenas llevo poco tiempo siguiéndote y gracias por poner videos con subtítulos en español . También gracias por seguir disparando en analógico. Saludos desde España
I've commented in the past about how different it is in the US taking street photos than in Europe. I think you were in Hastings at the time. I was in awe watching your videos and seeing how different it was. Good stuff.
Pretty cool mate, glad you didn't give it up. It's really interesting to both listen to you going through the experience and watching the photos (which are not bad for the most and quite good for some of them). My practice of street photography makes me rely a lot on your feelings about this project. Again great work, thanks for sharing and keep going mate. Cheers
One thing I've heard from a friend who shoots almost exclusively 21mm on his m3/m2 is that 21mm is pretty close to everything your eye can see. He zone focuses most of the time, but when he frames he just kind of holds the camera close to his eye to get an idea of what will be captured and goes for it.
I know the feeling. I had a project for class to shoot about 30 rolls in about the same amount of time. I couldn't afford 30 rolls, so did 15 double exposure rolls. Had to walk roughly 7 or 8 hours a day, and man, it was tiring as hell, but the experience had me fall in love with NYC again.

Thanks for another amazing video, Ed, can't wait to watch the rest of this challenge. The legal restrictions we have here in Spain are a real handicap for us and it has made me to change the way I shoot on the streets. That's a pity.

Idk from experience but I’ve heard that the field of view of the whole finder is relatively close to 28mm. Have you experimented with that?
That’s in some M6 models. In the M3, the field of view of the finder is 50mm.
@@edpavez i mean outside of the frame lines like use everything in the finder to frame the shot like an slr. I've heard using all of that is similar to 24ish
Yes, I know what you mean, but that’s not how it works. The M3 has a 0.9 magnification so the full window does not even cover a 35mm. The M6 has different magnifications depending on the model: 0.58, 0.72 and 0.85
@@edpavez gotcha, i knew the m3 didnt have other frame lines but that's good to know. thanks for the info.
love it. subbed
Hi Eduardo, why do you use a so grainy film during day time ?
Emmanuel Bergère problem here isn’t so much the film but the development
@@alvareo92 yes but i try to be polite with Eduardo :-)
