The twist that they added to the song is the addition of a popular Filipino lullaby (prompting a child to sleep/dream as mother is away) in a dialect from a southeastern region of the Philippines called Hiligaynon (although Tagalog is the most commonly spoken language throughout the island country, there are many different dialects known to the PI).

I have listen to this song from the beginning for two days straight now and it is not getting any better. Every time I listen my brain finally picks up a new and wonderful sound that it didn't on past runs. There are companion harmonies which I or my brain didn't catch on the first listen, there are even times where all three are actually singing different words but remain in harmony, The harmonies in the Philippine lullaby are so intense and intertwined that brain couldn't catch up to what I was seeing during the second time they sang it that I totally missed that Keifer and Francis were not singing the wordy but giving two part harmony in the background. This song as short as it is, is so intense and so complicated, that listening to it only once does it an injustice. In my opinion it is not just a song or a comeback it is art at its finest, which I hope that the people who do the song of the year give it, its due. I don't believe that I have heard finer music and I do not believe that I have finished picking up all the subtleties in it and for some reason I don't think that I ever will. But they all met on this competition which is the reason for their Tawag NG Tanghalan (TNT) it’s an individual competition, they’re actually competing against each other. They need to win 5 times in a row and defend championship in order to go to the next round semis then finals. So in the finals they’re among the top 5. If I remember correctly Kiefer is second, Francis 3rd and Mackie 5th. So before the grand finals they were (the top 5) invited on this variety talk show thing called GGV. So the host, Vice Ganda was playing around and were asking them “do you wanna be an artist/actor” and they’re like yes. So he picked them out and their roles and were made to sing Listen impromptu. But with a twist. She’s/He’s gonna point on who’ll sing and with what emotion (like angsty or like some one who’s defending or someone who’s being bullied) AND THEY ALL DID IT IMPROMPTU. It was so amazing and then that video was trending and it just blew everyone off their sockets. Then they were like invited to Little Big Shot, UK, US, Australia then US again. They joined this show Your Face Sounds Familiar, where they’ll be assigned to singers and they have to copy their moves, voice and the video itself of those singers which they won with an impersonation of Bang Bang. Like starting from the camera works, to the dance steps, make up and clothes it was 10/10. Then they had a choice to like join Asia’s Got Talent or the new show The World’s Best. They auditioned and got accepted to both but opted for the latter. Now here’s the thing this song was what they were about to sing but there were allegations where they were asked to sing a different one and their own version of flashlight and Kiefer’s whistle was cut and cause they’re too young to win. From what I gathered they were supposed to sing this in TWB for their final song, but the producers said it was to long, so they made them sing Flashlight instead... but to me that’s all speculation unless someone can seriously prove it. Either way they got the world to look at them and they are way better then some of the acts on that show.
