I was an honor to be one of Jerry's Trimble's students at Rick Hamilton's ATA school in Marietta Georgia. Unfortunately, when he left to go to Los Angeles I could never find another instructor of his caliber; he was amazing! In martial arts speed is power, and Jerry was the real deal. I remember him testing before a grand master for his 4th or 5th degree? black belt. His kicks were lightning fast, and when he did jump spin kicks into the heavy bag you realized just how powerful he was. You would hear a loud thump, and he would leave a huge dent in the bag. On occasion he would split the big bag. Watching Jerry kick was like watching one of the grand masters kick during there demonstrations. He was precise in his technique.
Thank you for sharing this fight sir. You were a amazing fighter. I am a huge fan of yours jerry. I grew up watching your movies. I am from Albany Kentucky.
I met Jerry Golden Boy back in Atlanta in the early 80's and boy was he something to watch, thank God we were friends cause he was loaded with lots of goodies for those who made the mistake to mess with him or any of his buddies. Saw him taking 6 guys at a time, BIG MISTAKE they made !!
Hey Jerry. Knew you in Atlanta years ago....saw you fight the Space Cowboy at the Hilton. Met you a few years later late at Saints and Sinners when I looked skinnier and more like Rod Stewart...lol. I just saw you in an Ion movie, "A Firehouse Christmas." Very touching story. I thought you had moved back to Canada and called it a day, but glad to see you still active with acting. I still train at 59.
My kickboxing trainer (from Austria) shows us students videos like these as motivation. The golden age, back when kickboxing pro fights were beautiful and exciting to look at. Our club therefore is called Oldschool Kickboxing. Legends of the sport!

Very nice to see this, Jerry Trimble had beautiful kicking technique. it was always fantastic to watch his movies, and its not common to see kickboxers who can kick with such grace and skill.
@@krugstillo Not quite the same. Wilson never dared to use the flashy kicks that Trimble could do in his sleep. Roufus often missed with them, or landed way off the trajectory's sweet spot. Gibson - yes, that one was, same skill, same terrific timing. Although his style was completely different from Jerry's. Alexio relied more on punches, especially body punches, - he was really good at that. They all were great, but performance-wise: none of them was Jerry Trimble.
@@HexenStar Yep, thats right. But you still can see Don Wilson using Side Kicks as a jab, Snap kicks and Ashi Barai. And i see Rick Roufus(from before his K-1 days) as almost as flashy as Trimble. But yes, you re right. I just mean to say that they all had some solid Tma kicks.
Sir you inspired me as a teenager to really practice harder and work on my high kicks and coordination, at 40 years old I still get excited whenever I see one of your amazing fights as if it was the first time.
I was watching that fight in my living room when it happened, when he connected with that spin-hook kick followed by that hard right ON THE WAY TO THE CANVAS I literally jumped up and yelled. My wife thought I'd lost my mind! That was one of the coolest combos ever thrown, Period. It was inspirational at a time when martial arts needed inspiration. Trimble was the real deal!
Loved the ole PKA! i liked how Rosser tried to act so upset it was stopped, got his azz handed to him and would have continued, I remember watching this one live many, years ago.
just boxing alone he would have taken most out, not too mention 4 lethal weapons instead of 2.."my name aint Jackson, you a fuckin social worker or something" best line
I know nothing about this sport. I ended up here because I was reading an article that said the famous Micky Dolenz of "The Monkees" band was filing a lawsuit against the FBI. Then I found out he had a daughter named Ami Dolenz who married the Jerry Trimble in this video. I don't know a thing about kickboxing but I know skill when I see it. Mr. Trimble's kicks were beautiful and strong and he seemed to have the Rocky eye of the Tiger in this fight. He straight up whipped Rosser from the bell. So what I want to know is - who in the world made Rosser a 3-1 favorite and what did Mr. Trimble's friend think after this fight? The one the announcers said told Trimble he thought Trimble was a 5-1 underdog.

Jerry was a brilliant fighter...his kicking prowess and leg dexterity was incredible...speed and accuracy.
Trimble continues to kick ass as an actor, motivational speaker, and writer/producer.

He was originally from Kentucky, but he moved to Marietta Georgia to teach. I was honored to be one of his students.
Jerry, what was the name of the guy you beat with a jump spinning back kick to the face, that busted his nose??? He was kind of a short guy???
