  • Here are Todd's first impressions of a portion of the Lower Sonoran Desert, an area about 1 - 1.5 hours southwest of Phoenix, Arizona. This area is a beautiful location to spend a day or multiple days Overlanding, desert camping, and exploring 4WD trails. These Arizona offroad trails weave in and out of washes, mountains, and all sorts of plant life. Every trail is a little different from one another, making it very interesting, and will you want to revisit this area time after time.

    Beautiful piece. The light at the end of the day in the desert is one of a kind. And it's always nice to see trails I (think) I can take my stock Jeep Willys through.

    Beautiful video, thank you. I spent two weeks out there once, and found it to be an amazing place. Especially the cactus. If I only lived closer, I’d be out there all the time.

      For sure, there are so many cool places around this country. We are lucky people. Now if we just had more time to explore.
      Thank you for watching.

    We had above average rain in Arizona in 2021. The desert was greener than I've ever seen it. Nice video, very calming.

      Thank you!! That rain was well needed but man did it alter some of our trails lol

    We enjoyed your video very much. You do a great job narrating. We just got back from Alamo Lake. Covered over 60 miles on desert trails. Was awesome!

    I live S E of Phx, roads shorter and rougher, but the views just as great. And thx for the great videos and trail work.

    We ran the Fourth of July Wash and Sundad two weeks ago. Great trail.

      There is so much to explore in that area! Did you get to the old corral on the west side of the trail?

    The 4th Of July Trail is on the site as "Fourth" and it is on my list to check out. The rest of the area out there is pretty cool to wheel. I have run all except for El Paso Pipeline Road(Will be in Feb '22), Arlington Clanton Wells Road, & Turtleback Mountain. I will add them to my to do list.

      Sweet!! If you see us out there wave us down. If you do Arlington’s east side right around the twilight times - it won’t disappoint!

    Thank you for the info, did you complete the run all the way to the Salton Sea? If you did, I would like to go west to east. Is that possible?

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  2 года назад

      Not in one shot yet but in stages. It’s totally doable with just a tad of pavement through Blythe.

    So on your app is this trail called el Camino del Diablo?
    You have me sold on this trail and have a couple weeks of free time this December to spend on a trail like this. :)

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  2 года назад +2

      Hey Ben, the el Camino del Diablo is pretty far from this area. These are all the trails just west of Buckeye Arizona. Aqua Caliente, Arva Caliente, El Paso Pipeline Road, Arlington Clanton Wells Road, Turtleback Mountain, and 4th of July Wash - its the whole area! Since you have the time, go further west even into Kofa.

    Great scenery but the trails look way too easy. Compare this to the Table Mesa, North Phoenix near New River trails.

    • @Trailsoffroad
      @Trailsoffroad  2 года назад

      Those trails you mention are all way more rough and or challenging than these for sure! You can see on these we had the stock Lexus GX470 out there with no issue at all.
