This is outstanding, I am so glad she's talking about the relationship between China and North Korea, because of my way of thinking I always thought they kind of getting along, but at the same time they didn't get along!
This N Korean ladies' political theories are interesting, but a bit behind the times. Unsurprising as N Korea is even more hermetically sealed from outside intelligence than China. But I believe her when N Korea supports closer ties with Russia than China. This is mainly for a deep reason. Korea was a vassal state of China under the Qing Empire, and was treated, if not aggressively exploited like the Japanese Empire, like a parent-child relationship. The Koreans don't exactly like the Russians either (who does?), but the Russians are more recent arrivals in East Asia and would prefer at least cordial relations with Koreans as they are underpopulated and vulnerable in Eastern Siberia, and the Koreans present the relatively least threat there (compared to the Chinese and Japanese).
