Ah tough question man. Sounds lame but a lot of it is just practice/trial and error. Mix a song. Compare it with other music you like to see where you went wrong. Repeat. BUT I can also say the major thing I learned this album was to give just as much love to the bass as you do guitars. A great bass tone gives you more punch and let’s you use less distortion (which means more clarity) on the guitars.

MMM how do you get the track to pop this much. I have get good drums and focusrite scarlet but i cant seem to get the guitar to bang like this...
