I went to Mr. Bell’s concert in Shanghai last year and there was typhoon I remember during those days. He went on stage in jeans and T shirt and I was like??? Then he explained that his suits were not with him because he switched to train in order to get to Shanghai in time and his luggage was already with the original flight. He was tired but still kind enough to hold a signing session after the concert. I shook his hand and I told him I liked the way he dressed tonight. He laughed hard. I was so so happy🤓He is absolutely charming. ❤️
I want to say a big thank you for your comment/comments (how many it may be), your love and support , I created this channel to reach out to fans and you are amazing❤️❤️. where are you from?
Saw Joshua bell live with the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln center. everyone was there sitting dressed in tuxedos and here comes Joshua standing next to the composer leading the orchestra in his T shirt Blue jeans and White converse. it was badass. ill never forget that !
it's unbelievable what people can do. How many hours of practice before a human can do this...level 298 on G+3. This is totally giving me goosebumps. I could cry it's so good.
okay. jesus christ the comments about the breathing. so a breath can be used for technique while playing properly. it also helps keep the duo in time with each other if there are pauses in the music. it is also used as a cue so you don't have to stomp or hum or anything like that.
@@ktkprincess I think it's just that he doesn't breath while he's playing. There's so much going on in his technique that he doesn't waste time thinking about his breath when he plays.
Search Galamain and Joshua Bell and SEE the transformation from 1980 to this performance!!! Amazing!! Galamain is very proud I'm sure! Great violin supported by Great piano ala Jeremy Denk!!!

Great, great combination of artists on this concert. And since I rarely comment, though I hear a lot of these Tiny Desk Concerts, I want to add -- Bob Boilen has the coolest office imaginable. Maybe a little cramped to perform in, but what a pleasure it must be to work there.
Beautiful performance. 4 minutes in, I did ask out loud (in my head, as no one is in the room), what is up with the temperament on the piano? Brilliant performances.

Yinmui Chan it's his strad, it has all the same fittings and strings and setup as his strad. It's just a different lighting that really brings the color out
so this takes the tiny desk series to a new level... but what is up with the sniffling??? omg. wonderful performance but the sniffling sounds are very distracting...
if you listen to Hadelich's solo violin pieces on his RUclips channel, his breathing is also very prominent. they can't help it and the mic picks it up
This guy is amazing and I know I'd never be able to do what he does... BUT I really wish Tiny Desk would stop posting just interesting music and post more musicians like they used to. Back when they used to post Dr Dog... tallest man on earth... etc. I just feel they post music now for the sake of variety and being edgy. This is just my opinion, though.
Believe it or not a lot of people love classical music. I saw Mr. Denk live and Joshua Bell is also world class. I don't know what you mean by NPR should post more musicians?

I am from Madagascar. I love you so much. Your violin is marvellous. A lot of thanks for your music.
You’re so lucky! Just saw him last night. Can’t wait to see him again!
1:54 paper takes a dive inside piano
im dead right now!
Just a virtuoso in jeans playing a Strad, and a virtuoso playing a ?? piano of some sort! Magic! Thank you Tiny Desk!
Josh's performance is amazing playing the violin, but also Jeremy plays the piano wonderfully, I am very impressed.

Hearing Josh Bell w/ his Strad thru this SOUND ENGINEER'S GENIUS is incredible! Tiny Desk has some of the best live acoustic recordings on the planet.
... and some of the worst!! Listen to Nicola Benedetti’s - cringeworthy
Schumann...you get to hold Brahms open... Kudos to Denk, too. That piano work is no joke.
This tiny desk concert is unbelievable!!! BRAVO!!!
every note was wonderful and to see Joshua Bell in such an intimate setting was a real treat

Angel Vera Also, you know, the sustaining of life by providing o2... minor detail. No breathing=no music. Just throwing that out there.

Seeing this performance makes it all the more amazing.
I can finally identify something in common with one of the great violinists of this day: We use the same shoulder rest. YAY.
I'd love to see this in concert!
BRAVO!! ❤❤❤
the piano player is such a great accompaniment
Jeremy Denk...YES!!!!!!
Really? The piano player?? 😂
Be still my heart! Oh Joshua Bell!
Good lord that last song is amazing.
Heartbreakingly achingly beautiful !!!
Amo ouvir o Joshua Bell tocar seu violino. Toca com a alma. 💙
how I love Schumann! Great to listen it from Joshua!
so beautiful. thank you.

Denk rocks!!!
Last week he was in the Mondavi Center at UC Davis. I wish one day I can see him in concert again.

Has no one ever heard a classical violin solo before? There is sniffing in every single one, and there's nothing you can do about it.
very nice play. God Bless you always. Thank you.
It's amazing! Nice work guys, congratulations!
So good
I love the music and musicianship in this performance. Bravo!
Amazing!!!
Wow - very beautiful 👏👏
Beautiful
Bell likes to bop around! Great piece!
Such compassion! I love it!
This is the way classical music should be presented. No need for fancy clothes or formal pomposity. Just show up, provide a little chat and play!
That bruising on his neck is impressive.
is Joachim pronounced as you-WAH-kim and not wha-KIM?
Somehow the Brahms really worked on that piano, that was absolute 🔥🔥🔥
Amazing, fun...amazingly fun...
ohhh man, NPR you really gotta get a hold of Galina Vale. She would soo rock that place up too!
Love it.
I was very moved by the Schumann Op 94
who dares to dislike this?

Well for me the page turner was the bomb; go gurl!!!!

My heart skipped a beat at 7:19 :')

Josh is a fiddle monster. That is all. WOW.

you guys should have Miracles of Modern Science do a Tiny Desk!
Denk looks (and plays) like the young Artur Rubenstein!
Wide vibrato
What shoulder rest is that? Looks like a Kun Bravo.
Fantastic it's a viva la musica diamond. I have one since jb is my biggest hero, and the shoulder rest is wonderful
Turn your own pages bro, Domi does.
Wholy Fucking Shit! Death Metal !!
Come on y'all he's sniffing because it's a freaking WORKOUT I would be out of breath and sweating my ass off
Słyszę dziwne sapanie co jakiś czas czy to on łapie powietrze?
God damn it. Tune the piano!!!!
Brahms sonata d minor, somebody tune that piano.
I don't think that's the Strad, looks a little bit different color.
i think it is. if not i know he was thinking of purchasing a guaneri in a video i saw that was old so maybe that
Yinmui Chan it's his strad, it has all the same fittings and strings and setup as his strad. It's just a different lighting that really brings the color out

As a yound man I played this myself, but not half as good

so this takes the tiny desk series to a new level... but what is up with the sniffling??? omg. wonderful performance but the sniffling sounds are very distracting...
It's to feel the sense of the phrase you're playing ... If you don't, you give no life to the music !
Tilling54 thanks! I'll never complain again about that! I've never heard it before so I guess it's evidence of the great acoustics in this setting.
The intimate setting and walls covered in books means all sounds are exposed.
if you listen to Hadelich's solo violin pieces on his RUclips channel, his breathing is also very prominent. they can't help it and the mic picks it up

Agree to disagree. It was just my opinion.

$500 performance
Really great, but the piano is pretty out of tune!
Super! Just stop sniffing
Yes he is extremely good but I will always consider classical music as virtuoso wanking
Marxist NPR.
Amazing
