People dont realise how hard it is to write a killer song and to craft it into the music as we hear and know it. The 2 ABBA guys are not the regular song writers. They are gods in song writing! To have such a high level of song writing gift that can produce so many amazing songs that the world grew to love is truly phenomenal. It is easy to find good Singers...but to find THE Singers who can move you the way Agnetha and Frida is not easy. Agnetha has this innocent Voice that really makes us believe her everytime we hear her. She is brilliant in this song, showing such purity in conveying the love she has for the man. Every word and note she sang...felt believable to us. This is what sets GREAT singers and good singers apart. The verse of this song tugs at your hear string...pouring so much love out to the listeners' ears. the chorus affirms her love for the man. ..promising him her affection and praising him. OMG! so moving....snif snif! Another thing I'd like to point is the brilliant bass line. It really gave a lot of 'support' the Agnetha's voice.... without overplaying. At every chorus .. the bass gave that emotional support to further reaffirm her love. ABBA,, you are truly beyond Belief! I am speechless now.

This entire song is perfection. Even as an 8 year-old, when I first heard this, I knew that no matter what I did, or how good I was to become, I would never sound like Agnetha. Still, it didn't stop me from singing songs and humming tunes all day. The people for whom music is a need, will relate. Thank God for Abba and making my crazy childhood bearable :)

I'm so much emotional over this song because it relates to me so such. I've been in love before too. But it broke my heart and I thought I would never be able to love someone. But after spending 4 years in that mindset, I finally met the one who I've been waiting for the whole time. A person who can accept me and love me for who I am. This song kept me believe in love even in the hard times till it finally happened to me. 🥰

Not sickening at all. Very few, if any groups can evoke the feelings that ABBA created with their music. A & AF's voices, B & B's masterful lyrics, the sound, the mix, the instrumentals, their joy and happiness they presented, and their genuine personalities and appeal to their fans. SO TALENTED!! They made it look so easy. Oh how I wish I could "turn back time".
ABBA had many great songs but this is the best of the best IMO. When music, lyrics, passion, emotion & the voices of those 2 goddesses merge to create a masterpiece 🎤🎼
Voices of angels in the best ever love song . There is much more to Abba than the overplayed in Canada Dancing Queen. Their body of work remains unequaled. I was lucky to be a teenager in the 70s to hear them come alive. Abba is a phenomenon that cannot be duplicated. From all English-language people thankyou for the music Abba! Underrated? Do you know what you’re saying? Really? Did you now ABBA were the second most important industry in Sweden right after Volvo? It sickens me that underrrated mantra. this is one, of a few, of my all time favourite songs from my definitely all time favourite band. and what a time to be alive relishing in new abba music. wow. how lucky are we. i abbasolutely loved this song from the first time i heard it as a young boy fairly soon after the 'abba' album, from which it derived, came out. back then i would lift the needle and bring it straight back to the beginning of this song over and over and over again, hoping that no scratches would occur. thank god now for the repeat button with this new technology. no one, and i mean no one can deliver a line like our beloved agnetha. she is able to make you believe every word she sings. and when the two of these angles voices are combined. wow. wow. i am so thankful to this amazing group who have taken me through my entire life. a world without abba. i dread to think. thankfully we'll never need to know. i feel blessed.

僕はオペラをはじめClassicからEuropaのポップスまでなんでも聴きます。現代音楽ももちろんね。
ABBAをはじめて聴いたのはＳＯＳともう1曲シングル買ったなぁ。DANCING QUEENが出たときはちょうどDISCO BOOMで飽きるほど聴いたなぁ。
とにかくI HAVE BEENWAITING FOR YOUの評価が低いのは残念です。好みではなくBESTと言われているものには認められていないのは理解するのが難しいですね。

It's a very very beautiful song of my childhood great band abba from Sweden the great,once when I was maybe six or seven years old and I was living in Turkey in those days,and I was listening a FM channel I don't know which one, but it was airing English songs at that time,a song of band Abba started that was a hit of that time ,and you know a hit is an evergreen song and is always a hit,so I instantly pressed the recording button on my mono JVC radio cum record player and the song was recorded, before recording it I must have heard only one or two or maybe three lines of the song,but you know that hit is a hit, everybody of any agegroup or of any gender or of any nationality likes it instantly after hearing it, that's why I did that,I belong to Pakistan and my national languages are Urdu/English,because our region including India and Pakistan were once a part of United Kingdom and we were once also under the rule of the Queen of Britain,the Elizabeth II.So you can call us ex-british nationals.The song which I recorded was S.O.S and that was possibly the first song which I recorded In my life,I was actually a song lover as my mother said from even I was a toddler and my father actually when bought the record player explained me the use of different buttons of the player which I understood very well and than after recoding this song I used my gained knowledge of recording .So that is a part of the history of my life which I wanted to share with you Abba and with the rest of the world.
