      What is the material for the “thin cement floor layer “ - it seems so interesting- I’d love to use it!

    Common house plans look great. What is great is a watching you both thinking and planning ahead and not rushing that process. My dad always preached the six P’s. Prior planning prevents piss poor performance. Well done

    Sander's attention to every detail is incredible. He is definately the Master Craftsman. He should belong to The European Guild of Mastercraftsmen / Journey men. Not sure there is one in America. Love your Channel. Hugs Mel bourne, Australia

    bathroom in the mud room is the goal! have you thought of installing some sort of shower? I have a dog and that is the most useful to use.

    • @FlockFingerLakes
      @FlockFingerLakes  6 месяцев назад

      Both of the bedrooms will have master bathrooms and there will be an outdoor shower, which will be seasonal. Not one in the mud room, as it’s just a sink and toilet. Not enough space for another shower.

    You've made great progress on all the structural elements, I'm amazed how much you've accomplished since your last video about the downstairs area. I'm forever impressed by your courage and willingness to take on big engineering jobs yourselves too, like stabilising the floor under the kitchen and moving the beam so that you can install toilet plumbing. Well done, it's really taking shape.

    Love your channel and your renovations! I have a question about the in-wall toilet… if you are planning to install a plant wall where the toilet tank is, how would you access the tank if you end up having problems with it and need to repair it?

    • @FlockFingerLakes
      @FlockFingerLakes  6 месяцев назад +1

      We may not need a tank for the green wall (I didn't have one in my Brooklyn apartment) because it was directly connected to the plumbing lines.

    • @FlockFingerLakes
      @FlockFingerLakes  6 месяцев назад +4

      And in regards to the toilet tank, the concealed cisterns are designed to be serviced and have parts replaced simply by removing the faceplate of the buttons. Pretty ingenious. Europeans had it figured it long time ago.

      @@FlockFingerLakes Wow! That’s ingenious! I am planning a tiny house build and had never heard of in-wall systems. Such a great space saver!

      incredible space savers. We have that small bathroom in the mudroom and it seems as if it'll save us at least 8", if not more. @@echomoonstar
