You're assuming that he doesn't make a substantial living. Maybe this is just a hobby? Even if it was his main job, it's still a job. There are people who actually do this stuff for a living and make enough money to keep themselves up. Toys need thorough reviews. It's not his fault he's more fun than you. How is he wasting his life if he seems to be having fun and his reviews are giving people good insight? What he's doing is more helpful than your poor quality minecraft videos.

Would changing barbie dolls' bodies and some of the other perfect aspects make an impact in what girls and women will strive to be? If barbie didn't have such big breasts and wasn't as slender, would it change the image of what society desires in women? Finally, would this change in barbie dolls allow people to focus on the inside rather than the outside? It would be very likely. So why, instead of manufacturing actual role model dolls, would industries want to produce "perfect" dolls?
The question people need to ask is why does barbie seem to have everything? Why is she perfect in every aspect? I've heard many people say barbie is a major influence for young girls, but what influences barbie? It is society's obsession over perfection. We know we are far from perfect, but as long as we keep obsessing over this, we will never stop trying to reach perfection. The problem with this, sadly, is that we can't stop and be content with what we have most of the times.
What barbie dolls portray is this image of a perfect girl/woman that girls and women strive to be. In reality, only a few girls and women have "perfect" bodies. A "perfect" body is that of a supermodel, or one that is most obsessed over in society. If you ask me, maybe dolls should be made with more meat on their bones and not have this body that is only a fantasy or a long lost dream for so many girls and women. At least, that's my opinion.
Why do barbie dolls, or just dolls in general, always have to look like models? Can't there be dolls with realistic bodies? My writing teacher once said that if a barbie doll was brought to life and was life-sized that she wouldn't even be able to stand up because she had such an unproportionate body. What if anyone was turned into a doll and have the same size as a barbie doll? They would probably not look like barbie at all :/
