For better risk management, you're advised to invest the same amount of money everytime you trade. Make this amount a specific proportion of your capital under management. Lets say if you choose to risk 3% of CUM, make sure it is constant.
Most traders look for quick money instead of smart money. The ability to be patient is extremely underrated. Let the opportunity come to you instead of always chasing it.
Back in my day to talk to the pros was amazing if you got that chance. We didn't have the internet or youtube like we do today. This is the greatest channel for any trader wanting to see the many perspectives from the some of the best traders. Great content
Bankman-Fried was crystal clear about it!! The first risk for them was "the risk we don't make much money" and the second one to "be careful where we are putting our money". After that, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraudulent actions against customers and investors.
Aaron, another one of great episodes. You are doing a tremendous service for the trading community. Everyday I listen to one of the episodes of ‘Chat with traders’. Your work is highly appreciated and it was perfectly mentioned in the interview of Mike Bellafiore, where he appreciated the work you are doing for the trading community. Please keep doing this great work.
thanks for taking the time to edit these compilations of highlighted information. I already listen all the way through the two psychology ones. thank you so much, they have been very insightful.
Everyone had a quantitative way of defining risk and a really detailed explanation aside from SBF. I know hindsight is 20/20, but your biggest risk essentially being reasoned away as you were “unlucky” or “exchange risk” shows how unscientific that whole experiment was.
One simple way, to avoid getting liquidated, is to hedge your position. Go spot long when you are in a losing short. You can take profit either way. And if it keeps going against you then you have a good idea of the trend direction.
Almost none of these comments understand how and why risk management is implemented. Convergent trader hit it on the head implementing the same risk reduction model that turtle traders used in their breakout method.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! 🧐 I have a quick question: 🤷♂️ I found these words 😅. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How do I use this? 🤨
Is lattering into positions the same as staggering into positions?..if it is than me and andy kershner enter the exact same way..i found that when i stagger my entries i can set SL away from market noise..so even if the market turns(whch it always does) i have a sweet cushion, and since ive figured out how to tell he main trend,i enter with high confidence.
Thanks for the forecast! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How can I transfer them to Binance?
You should do a podcast on your interview with Sam bakeman-Fried. Now looking back, you can see everything he was saying was completely lies! He had no basis of good trading or management. It all was a scam.
I have a question: With 70% Win Rate, there is 0,00059% of loosing 10 trades in a row. Why would I risk only 2%, if I risk the same amount every time, or 10% of my total capital per trade, I am mostly safe. Any thoughts?
I come back to this over and over. We need a risk management 3!
Dan Shapiro is by far my favorite on this one! So relatable.
Man, these compilation episodes on risk management and trading psychology (especially risk management) are absolute gems!!! My guy🙌🏼

My recommendations on Risk Management, drawn from my personal favourites:
Most traders look for quick money instead of smart money. The ability to be patient is extremely underrated. Let the opportunity come to you instead of always chasing it.
I don't mind some quick cash right now. I've been trading all by myself but can't seem to make any headway.
I am constantly repeat listening this one. We owe you a big favor for airing this incredible episode.
Back in my day to talk to the pros was amazing if you got that chance. We didn't have the internet or youtube like we do today. This is the greatest channel for any trader wanting to see the many perspectives from the some of the best traders. Great content

I’ve got to admit. Last person was spot on.
Bankman-Fried was crystal clear about it!! The first risk for them was "the risk we don't make much money" and the second one to "be careful where we are putting our money". After that, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraudulent actions against customers and investors.
Lol

40:39 Believe me, this is what it all boils down to: Entering trades that are Risk Defined!
Also 49:52
I disagree on 40:39 I use a negative RR and I’m very very profitable! There is no right or wrong in trading, what works for you works
Wow this is amazing! You should make Best of Swing Trading next. Thank you Aaron!

SBF on this episode is the come to Jesus moment.
Almost none of these comments understand how and why risk management is implemented. Convergent trader hit it on the head implementing the same risk reduction model that turtle traders used in their breakout method.

great summary
but i think SBF doesn’t fit the profile. 😢
