When I make dough for bread, it seems very sticky when there's excess water. I only have used whole wheat flour, though. There may be another reason for a different type of flour. Since then, I backed off the amount of water I use when mixing the dough, and put in the water from the faucet a little bit at a time until the consistency is to my liking: I don't measure it any longer, but it's less sticky that way. The fact is, when dough is too sticky, the main solution is to add more flour when rolling and folding, but that adds calories, so I try to avoid adding too much.
Let's show Nina and Randa lots and lots of our love and support as their subscribers and fans and let's help boost their subscriber count higher than ever and let's show them how much we love them
Thanks for your video which is very pleasant to watch. I am trying to convince my Dad to go whole food-plant based and the cardiologist did not help when he didn't concur that diet change could reduce the severity and frequency of atrial fibrillation. There's not large studies to my knowledge but there's some pretty good evidence. One thing I would tell my Dad, however, is about when I had acne back as a teen: he told me, just like my doctor said, that diet change should be made first to correct the problem. I ignored it and went straight to Accutane, not a smart decision. I heard you speaking of dates, and another person was recommending dates to put in my oatmeal, but I'm just sticking to a small amount of sugar at the moment. The main change I made in the last month was to eat beans at least every other day, 400 calories of pinto beans, which gets me my potassium, calcium and E. I don't care a whole lot about vitamins but those were the only ones I was close and that's been resolved!!! Enjoy your California Christmas. I'm in North Carolina and it'll be 55F probably, high on that day: not bad. It's about 60F and sunny.
"the cardiologist did not help when he didn't concur that diet change could reduce the severity and frequency of atrial fibrillation." It seems like heart disease is a risk factor in atrial fibrillation and the science is pretty unequivocal on the benefits of a WFPB diet on heart disease. "There's not large studies to my knowledge but there's some pretty good evidence." Isn't there the Adventist Health Study? I thought that was one of the largest? "I heard you speaking of dates, and another person was recommending dates to put in my oatmeal, but I'm just sticking to a small amount of sugar at the moment." Yea, I was watching the vid and saw the dates. Dates have several times the amount of sugar of typical fruits like apples or bananas. And they added brown sugar on top of that for the dough. Adding refined sugar on top of what is a lot of sugar already seems a little unhealthy to me.
I think it was sticking because it doesn’t contain gluten. Gluten usually glues and thats why wheat flour is best in baking. But yes if you’re gluten intolerant you need to switch.
just not enough flour, usually there's additional flour needed for kneading or/and rolling . the additional flour sometimes isn't listed but implied. have to try those!!
Whenever i eat beans, my stomach creates SO MUCH GAS INSIDE.... it is literally painful. I don’t know how to deal with it. Are u guys ok with consuming so much beans? You guys seems to eat a lot of beans. Because of those gas i tend to not eat bean at all but i noticed that i am likely to have like allergy looking skin bumping thing in arms and neck and stuff. I feel like its bc lack of protein. Am i right? What should i do? Could you guys please give me some suggestion?😰😰
Rinse, rinse, rinse, the beans (canned) in a strainer , it is important not to rinse the beans directly from the can Soak the beans for a few hour and rinse the beans again before cooking raw beans, if you really want to eat beans :) they are great If I was in your position I would order " Bean-Zyme Vegan Anti-Gas 300 Galu/Cap " comparable to "Beano" Lentils are also an option that will produce less gas than beans There are many plant based sources of protien, however a lot of them don't meet the "low/no fat" requirement for the diet that the twins promote Almonds, peanuts, peanut butter, tofu, tempe, soy milk, soy icecream, chickpeas, hemp seeds, chia seeds, oat meal, cashews (my favorite) , meat replacements you can find in the freezers at a lot of grocery stores
You should get a blood test just to make sure you're getting your proper nutrients :) it is very helpful to know if you might need to increase your consumption of leafy greens for iron, or maybe get some hemp seeds for omega-3s The only way to be sure is a blood test ^.^
Make sure you cook the beans throughly! Sometimes canned beans can be a bit undercooked, so make sure they are boiling at least a couple of minutes after they've been taken out of the package. Also rinse them until aaall the bubbles go away like someone said. But I think with beans you've got to start small and build it up, I have no problems with beans now after 4,5 years as a vegan but in the beginning they made my stomach upset!
Great improvisation to turn the roll into a loaf cake! Cooking is an art, not a science. Next time just try adding a bit more oat flour to your mixture, maybe like 1/2 cup, it should then be thicker, and easier to roll. I'm going to give your recipe a try, I am GF, and I absolutely love dates!
luv uu but I was surprised by the video made by unnatural vegan. Even though I think her video is quite intense she makes some good points, and I was wondering if you would address it :) happy holiday
I would experiment by adding a bit more oat flour until it looked a little less like cake/cookie batter. Being gf it will never be completely stretchy like gluten containing recipes but xantham gum may help. I think with a little extra oat flour it won't stick to the paper as much. I little coconut oil could help as well but I know that's not your thing. 😊 Kudos to experimenting in the kitchen!
It was fine, you just needed to add flour to the surface and a bit more to the top so it wouldn't stick. Still I want to try the recipe! (Real story: It look like me a few days back doing some vegan pizza rolls from the vegan zombie and it ended up kind of like that hahah)
These girls have been vegan their whole lives. They look very healthy, and they are healthy. Over 30 percent of American children are overweight or obese. You should worry about those kids, not these girls.
Are there any foods one of you like and the other dislikes?
For the cinnamon rolls. I think the mix was too wet. Not enough flour. ;)

Ummm all this looks bloody *A M A Z I N G* 🤤🤤🤤 reminds me how much I need to up my game in my own what I eat in a days haha 😂😂
I ❤ your vegan videos!!
I would knead it with extra flour before rolling it flat. Ive never made cinnamon rolls but this is what we do for biscuits
Can you give me tips on how you grow and maintain your long hair, also if you put flour underneath the paste it would’ve worked perfectly
PUT FLOUR ON THE BOTTOM BEFORE YOU PUT THE DOUGH ON THE PLATTER
I think it was sticking because it doesn’t contain gluten. Gluten usually glues and thats why wheat flour is best in baking. But yes if you’re gluten intolerant you need to switch.
They need to add guar gum to there baking when baking with gluten free flour guar gum acts like gluten in gluten free baking
just not enough flour, usually there's additional flour needed for kneading or/and rolling . the additional flour sometimes isn't listed but implied. have to try those!!
You need more flour to make a stiffer dough. Dust your work surface with flour & also dust the top of your dough & rolling pin.
I feel like they lost weight?:(
Yeah but I feel like though they went from healthy weight to underweight not scary underweight but definitely underweight
Thats what happens after a break up
Hope they aren’t getting a eating disorder ;(
I finally bought your book! Thanks so much for inspiring me to go vegan!💕
Aw yay!! Much love 😊❤️❤️
Hi! Love your food videos:-) I was wondering, do you have a video on what you like to have for pre-and post-workout fuel and recovery?
Yaaaas😍😍😍😍😍😍waiting for this

I have gastroparesis so I can’t have bean, I have vanilla pea protein and tofu for protein
Beans used to do that to me, but after cutting out so much fat from dairy and meats, my body really took to beans.

If you know about the Keto diet . I'd like to see you do some Keto dishes . Your pizza would be Keto if not for the sweet potatoes
Please tell me how you make your oat shake. Looks delicious!
When did you decide to go vegan
Nella Van Heerden they have been vegan their entire lives
Thanxs
what can I use to substitute the sweet potato? Apple sauce or a banana maybe?
Good video. Thanks a lot. Love you!

Pretty much not enough flour in the mix and on the work surface, dough used for cinnamon rolls are pretty pillowy when you work with it

Your cinnamon roll recipe was low fat, so why didn’t you try some? Do you avoid sugar now too or something?
We did have some :) it was delish!!
Can y'all please do a Cheesecake!!!!
0:55 What song is it ? Beautiful 😍
Do you guys dye your hair?
Next time put flour on the paper before you put the bread there, so it won't stick to it 😉
8:33 I think Randa looks good with her hair like that!
I bought your book on eBay and I'm giving it away///I haven't opened it

You need more flour and you should have needed it out and let it sit out also it wouldn’t hurt to put more flour 😂 and next time flour the surface
