- Join me as we face off against a Killer Clown as he terrorizes the city in The Shared Dream designed by Matthew Tarulli and published by ODAM Publishing!
In this playthrough we'll be playing the scenario 'Dead Serious'. The city has been gripped by fear of a serial killer on the loose. The killer's victims are seemingly chosen at random, its kill locations scattered, and method of attack varied and grotesque. Last night you dreamed of being chased by a tireless killer clown who was always one step ahead of you. If you didn't know any better, you would think the news of the serial killer was inspiring your dreams rather than the other way around. Good thing you know better.

"The Shared Dream is a cooperative board game for 2-4 players. In The Shared Dream, players take on the role of Anima, special people who can make their dreams (and nightmares) real in the waking world. All of the players have awoken to find that they all had the same dream and parts of it (good and bad) are coming to life. The players must re-experience their shared dream in the waking world while avoiding or destroying the nightmarish creatures that have sprung from that same dream.
In game terms, the players must follow the instructions on the chosen "Shared Dream" card in an attempt to prevent the nightmares from that dream from spreading to the innocent sleepers of the city. This generally includes traveling through the city to find clues, destroying shadows and reavers, and taking on a nemesis born from the shared dream." - The Shared Dream

Hey Rollers! Make sure to let me know what you think we should do next going into the next episode. Looking forward to hearing from you all! Cheers
The kickstarter is now live:

Also, the company that makes this is real responsive and seem like good folks. While not required for the making of a good game, it is always nice to support good people :)
Sure is. With new content and updates as well!
I do like this game Adam, the story theme is great and i would think their are going to be some great expansions added. Oh dear looks like I'm going to have to find some shelf space! I'm torn between moving to your next location or removing a nightmare, if you fail the next two checks you might take two wounds if your unlucky. The two dice system is ingenious. Can't wait for the next episode.
Trevor Bramley Hey Trevor! Thanks for checking it out. If it’s something you like then there is always space with a few adjustments ;p
That’s a tough call..I might risk it and move! I’ll see if anyway else has thoughts as well. See you in the next one!
Looks like a, cool game, I like scary story! And is quite unique as well.
Hello Oleg! Glad you enjoyed it. Always good to hear that. Hope you have a good one!
This looks like a good game for my niece and I. We are two nutjobs who would drive a space truck held together by nothing but spare parts and duct tape, chase after cthulhu, go into a burning building about to blow up, drive a ship in a desert and chase treasures on a sinking island. Killer clowns is nothing.
hahaha Amazing. Sounds like you’d put the Killer Clown in his place ;D
Nahhh we will die which is why we love it. We get to laugh in hysterics after.
haha love it
Get a conviction , I can't wait to see Channeling.
Thanks for the feedback X! Channeling should be fun :)
34:40. Nikki should have been at 3 Nightmare since the Spending Conviction rules say that any time you Spend Conviction you flip it over and place on the Nightmare Track.
Which means the Artifact Drawing would have resulted in 1 Extra Nightmare. It is also why you can not just place Spent Conviction for Channeling on to your Animus Board.
Hey dragen! Thanks for watching and the feedback. Hope you enjoyed it!
you have convinced me to get this game. So excited
Question, when you received your echo for the guy, it said you gain an additional conviction WHENEVER. but when ur turn starts, you all gain one. shouldnt you have picked up two at the start of the turn?
Good eye! I did in fact miss giving him an additional one there. I’ll correct it going into the next one. Easy fix with no impact. Thanks for pointing it out! :)
I suggest removing nightmare. I think when you spend conviction it converts to nightmare. So you may want to keep the nightmare track low. Cause when spawning enemies when failing nightmare test, the dail is increased by the number of nightmare on the player card! You may spawn a reaver!
Just my 2 cents. Enjoy!
Good points Tom! Might be the smart thing to do in this case. I have to check on spending conviction and it converting to nightmare though. Cheers!
It's under Conviction Nightmare and Doubt. The page after Animus Overview. Third paragraph down. "When a point of Conviction is spent ...." hope that helps.
Awesome stuff. Thanks Tom!
Thank you for the interesting video. Thematically the game is a little gruesome for my taste - and I hate clowns... What really turns me off though is the dice dynamic. That's too much of a luck factor for me to really enjoy...
No problem! Glad to help you make a decision on it. Hope to see you around :)
At 34:28 shouldn't you have received an additional conviction because you are inspired?
Hey Stephen! Hmm good eye. I’ll check on that. I believe so offhand. If that’s the case I’ll correct this going into the next one. Cheers!
I will be sure to give myself that extra Conviction at the start of the next one. Good catch Stephen!
I can't find part #2 😪
I'm trying to learn this game because my brother bought it for me and I'm adhd so tons of reading as far as instructions confuses the hell outta me. I've been trying to play this game for 3 days now lol
It’s there! Just do a search under my videos tab for Shared Dream and you should find it! 😄
Or head to my playlists and search for Shared Dream.
You may not see this, I am out of options. I just started learning this game. Opened the Crux Collection expansion and it doesn't have it's rules/scenario book. Any thoughts on how I can find this?
Oh no! I’d reach out to the publisher directly. Good luck!
@@RollingSolo I am typically not good with computers, but I've tried going to their website and to me it looks like it's been shutdown. Any further suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for replying so quickly, you are the best...
Oh wow! I didn’t know that. In that case I’m not sure. You could attempt to reach out on Facebook if their page/group still exists? 😕
@@RollingSolo once again thanks for replying. I have a question for you. I have a co-worker that is really good with computers. He thinks he can get screen shots of the book off of your unboxing video. Are you cool with us doing this?
@@hairspray4314 100% go for it!
Great video! Maybe get rid of damage if you can at the hospital? You should already have 3 convictions with your +1 from inspired so next turn you are at 4 which is enough. If you cannot use the hospital or if we should wait to heal go for the reflection with your move. The clown does not block you? What about the stop? If you have more movement with the animus is it not worth it to transform if you win an action? If you have mutliple reflection cards with the correct name how do you choose (I thought I saa 2 high school cards)?
That could be a great next step Olivier. I'll be adding another Conviction for sure at the start of the next one. The stop I'll explain during the next video. The reflection cards are numbering on the front. Or if they're not then you pick one. Meaning different outcomes for replay ability. If my movement with the Animus was higher it could be worth it. I don't believe it is however. Thanks for watching and the feedback!
hopefully this second round will fix the typos I read on the cards (missed words, etc.) - the game looks great otherwise!
Hey Ben! Great point. I did notice some typos as well and just worked around them during the playthrough. Would be good to have those cleaned up. Cheers!
How many different scenarios are there in the game, or is it only the clown scenario with 4 different decks?
There are four different scenarios in the base game. Expansions add more if you want them!
There are four personal reflection decks for each scenario I believe. So for a solo player that's about 16 plays before rehashing. Not bad!
I don't know if I'm mature enough for this game. The word "Taint" makes me giggle...
haha!
