Back in those days, these artists had their own fan club, yet when they came together onstage, the focus was to entertain the crowd, not to compete and strive for one-upmanship and forwards. It was pure love, harmony and togetherness, something our current crop could do well to emulate.
Anybody listening in 2020? Big Up all Flatbush Massive!! 1980s Biltmore Ballroom, Starlight Lounge, Kenmore movie theater. If you was jamming in a basement party, give a thumbs up!👍

Iz ah man weh grew up in this era and i look at all de artist weh pass wey. Nitty, Tenah, Demus, and the likes and wonder what would they be like now. Sadly though there's no market for old reggae artist, especially here in the US. Hence why so many come here to try and buss. Funny as i was just talking to Shabba about this a few months back (He lives in the next town from me). We need more labels like VP to dist. some of the veterans & bring them back.
