With Jamaican culture, they’re starting to crack down on it but it’s to the point where the surroundings contribute to the lyrics. I know for a fact that artists like Chronixx (reggae) and Koffee (dancehall) aren’t locals, and their music is mostly positive. Dancehall has always been negative but it got out of hand. UK still makes positive dancehall (depending on who you listen to)
