Well, this is one of my iconic cars. it's not the most beautiful, fast or economic but it's probably the one I've enjoyed the most with...I owned a 205 Rallye and after that a 206 1.6 110 CV and for me are really really good cars, more emotional the Rallye, more comfort the 206 but both with the same sporty soul.that I missed in, for example, my actual car, a Nissan Pulsar 1.2 Dig-t. When I see 205 or 206, always have a smile on my face. Great test, Joe!!!!j

I remember one night I was driving home from work on the motorway and couldn't get much more than 70mph - I checked the gears and I was still in 3rd gear 😂 seriously even though it was a diesel it was like a hot hatch. I went in to the dealership wanting the GTI (or whatever it was called), but the salesman actually told me to get the sports diesel cos he said the performance was almost as good, but of course the fuel consumption and insurance would be a lot less with the diesel
Somehow if you tell me a Tesla do 0_100 in 6 sec I won't believe it but this feels much faster than 15,6 I still rather have this fun car than a vacuum cleaner it might be weird but this is precious 😂

Here in Brazil the Peugeot 206 is known as a "car bomb", for being known to give several defects in the suspension and others in mechanics, but I believe that this is a problem of Brazilian streets (which are not of good quality). Could anyone give me an opinion on this car? I would like to read other people's comments that are from other countries, as each car performs better in each country (that's what I believe). And I just remembered!!! This car came to Brazil without an engine cover, they said it was a cost cut, can you tell me if in other countries it continued with the acoustic cover?
I think it’s the facelift model, since the clicking noise of the turn signals is the same as mine. Pre facelift had other clicking noise and other sticks for the turn signals and wipers
one of the best car interior acoustics for proper bass reproduction. you will not have low frequency dips in this car. a subwoofer in the trunk is required to understand what I mean!
Ohhh I talked about it last time ( Toyota Supra )you review it now I think cheap cars have a special feeling when I drive STH like that in an open field it's magic 😂
🙄Joe, it's not a 206 RC 😂 You can possibly have fun with a 206 2.0L diesel engine, it won't blame you...with the usual precautions of course but it has a good character. This is what I currently have after owning an RC for 14 years. The feelings have radically changed but the fun is still there. The RC is now in someone else's really expert hands who will know better than me how to make it last over time (I almost did a candidate casting lol) and also I felt like I was aging faster than this car... Do I need to say that 206 and me is a long love story ?... Certainly its design was innovative for the brand but without giving in to eccentricity. It was even rather the opposite. Simple lines but it was this car that brought me back to Peugeot in 2004. Nobody's perfect. Thx for that road trip Joe and don't hesitate to try RC for this kind of nervous bursts😁
@@osvaldoromeros.7115 there're torque and power. Torque makes the car carry its own weight and doesn't make the car goes faster becauce it occurs at lower rpms. Power on the other hand increase perfomance, makes the car goes faster and in this 206 specifically, it comes at 5500rpm. Shifting gears above that is better because when the next gear comes in, the rpm is closer to the max power, improving perfomances.
Same model here. Sounds like catalyst issue. I would have a diagnostic scan at Peugeot and if all were good i would ask them to deactivate this error on screen.
Hi Joe Black! Im close to finish my driving license exams, and i looking for a pretty cheap car, for my first car. I took a look at Mazdas, Suzukis, Hyundais, Hondas, but now, i can feel, i arrived! The Peugeot 206 seems like a cheap, and good car for a financially barely broken student from Hungary. I looking for a petrol car, wich isn't burn all my money, don't brake down week by week, and thats car seems alright for this job. I saw barely all your Peugeot videos, and now, i want to ask your opinion, for it can be an allright car for me? i would use it 100 km/ a week, and once, or twice, i would go for a 200 km trip with it. So my question is, do you recommend it for me?

In 2002 I had a 206 sport diesel, 2 door, black, mesh grille and sports pack....fastest car I've ever owned, even did a wheelspin in 3rd gear! 😁

JFYI this car's still being manufactured in Iran and you can buy a brand new one for around $13000.
