@@korbendallas9689 it does , i bought and connect a HUD and working fine , shows the rpm / speed / voltage / temperature and errors , but i dont have airbag error , also i check some more for obd2 ports , looks like all punto after 2000 have but some of them does not working with gadgets like HUB cause the HUB doesnt have the proper protocol for this cars , mine is 7/2001 and its working fine.
Bom carro, tenho o mesmo mas do ano 2001. É econômico, mecânica simples no que resulta em manutenção fácil, confortável para viagens longas... Os pontos negativos são, ferrugem com frequência capot, no tejadilho perto do para-brisas, city drive é melhor não usar com muita frequência, as relés tem a tendência de queimar e os limpa brisas têm a tendência em desgastar com facilidade.
My Panda mk. 2 (169 platform) with its underpowered 1.2 60 hp runs like new compared to this one. Mine is a 2010 Dynamic Eco with 86k kms. Very silenced inside and dashboard looks brand new.
I loved these (and 1st gen Puntos), however the 2003 facelift ruined the looks. Note that cheap cars back then had better quality interiors than now, full polstering on the doors etc. This model is still ideal to the European citys even with this basic engine.
but the 2003 facelift has a nicer interior (better gauge cluster that shows more info, a coloured Fiat logo on the steering wheel, higher spec models have a gorgeous white interior and more features were available for the facelifted model), the engines are also improved in the facelift model (pre-facelift cars with the 1.2 8v petrol engine had head gasket problems - they had graphite gaskets, but facelifted models have a metal head gasket instead, which pretty much never goes wrong, also the 1.9 non-turbo diesel in the pre-facelift model was terrible, it had an extremely unreliable Lucas fuel pump, in the facelift model that engine was replaced with the 1.3 Multijet which is a much better unit, the facelift also has the 1.4 petrol and the 1.9 Multijet engine units). I'm a little biased though because I own a 2004 model with the 1.3 Multijet, but the car has 203.000 km on the clock and I never had any serious problems with it (knock on wood), bought the car 5 years ago and since then I only had to replace 2 injector washers and 1 dead glow plug, as well as the battery, that's it. If you still prefer the pre-facelift model though, it's better to look for a car that has the 1.2 16v petrol or the 1.9 JTD. I also agree about the interiors, newer cars don't have fabric on the doors, they are fully plastic which I hate.
Ich hatte auch einen blauen Punto 5 Türer von 2004 bis 2017. Der beste Wagen bis dahin. Und ich hatte einige. Dann waren die Reparaturkosten höher als der Wert des Wagens zu dieser Zeit und ich habe ihn gegen den Fiat Tipo eingetauscht. Ich vermisse meinen kleinen blauen Kumpel. Der Tipo ist aber auch sehr gut. Mal sehen, ob er genau so lange läuft wie mein Kleiner.
Punto II jest świetne na wyprawy międzykontynentalne i wysokogórskie ;) np super sobie poradził na szutrach przez Turcję do Armenii ruclips.net/video/eki1RngvaWE/видео.html Na wyprawie za koło polarne też świetnie nam się spisał. Mało pali, a na LPG to już w ogóle jedzie się za półdarmo, tak więc nadaje się nie tylko do miasta ;) Nasz przejechał ok 150K km i nie miał ŻADNEJ awarii mechanicznej.

@@piomendicino5132 credo che la tua sia il modello superiore a Dynamic dovrebbe essere la emotion. Eh cosa penso è un auto che in genere non da dei particolari problemi, e se li da, generalmente è facilmente riparabile senza costi eccessivi.

@@robocop551 si, poi gli faccio fare una messa a punto al motore (non ne ha bisogno però io gliela faccio fare lo stesso), a febbraio 2020 gli è stata fatta una bella messa a punto gli è stata fatta la distribuzione, il tagliando completo, l'intero impianto frenante, la frizione, il cambio preso da una macchina incidentata con 40.000km, il radiatore nuovo sostituzione di un pezzo perché quando frenavo non teneva il minimo e gli ho fatto mettere un liquido che attappa i piccoli buchi nei tubi dell'impianto di raffreddamento (non c'è ne sono però magari se c'è qualche microbuco lo ha attappato) che ne dici?

I had a 2003 Fiat Punto 1.2 80hp as my very first car when I got my driving license and a 2010 VW Polo 1.4 85hp as my second car. And for so many urban legends about the legendary German engineering and the horror stories about Italian engineering, the Punto actually outlived the Polo despite being an older car (when I bought both of them, the Polo had more mileage than the Punto, so we have to be fair to the comparison). Maintenance was also cheaper which is a plus. But I'm still not buying into generalisations, I'd still be glad of getting a VW and would be open to any other brand in tbe future.

That was my first car, and I'll never buy another Fiat again!! Engine failed at 80,000 km, many electric problems, low quality plastics that brake, extremely under powered and slow... now wonder Fiat brand died.

@@zlaja.zivic98 i had also the 2002 model ad my god was a horror story aswell, it was my first car after i got the licenses and all my friends was joking with me that i spend more time fixin it than driving it 2 years later ended up with a bill 4 times the price of the car, if you wonder why you keep fixing it if the car was in a breaking cycle, well at some point i invested so much energy time and money i just didnt want to give up and selling it to scrap yard.
Fiat is alive and well here in Italia.

This has to be one of the most unreliable cars ever made. FIAT - FIX IT AGAIN TOMORROW.
I had this car for 5 years and never had a problem with it as the matter of fact. Only time i went to the mechanic is for the regular check ups.
I had a 2003 Fiat Punto 1.2 80hp as my very first car when I got my driving license and a 2010 VW Polo 1.4 85hp as my second car.
And for so many urban legends about the legendary German engineering and the horror stories about Italian engineering, the Punto actually outlived the Polo despite being an older car (when I bought both of them, the Polo had more mileage than the Punto, so we have to be fair to the comparison). Maintenance was also cheaper which is a plus.
But I'm still not buying into generalisations, I'd still be glad of getting a VW and would be open to any other brand in tbe future.
