Hes not a typical rich guy, nor is he a typical soft or normal guy. He is a guy who works and is perfectly normal and happy with his work. Yet he has so much charm. He is not ashamed of his work like most Male leads are. He finds it completely normal
Being a 67 year old surfer myself he has that old school surfer attitude. Do what you need to do to pay the bills and enjoy the passage of time.
Do you know his character quite familiar with Jan from day dreamer Turkish series.

To the people saying Chief Hong is like every other K-Drama Male Lead this is a proof he's different. I am in love on how he competes with Hye-Jin's father and rather get on his side he is showing him how true he is.
Du sik is good example for "a good guy" that so rare we see in drama. Usually, a good guy just be second lead meanwhile the lead is so arrogant/cold/talk less/serious etc..

I like how Dusik has chemistry with EVERYONE not just Hye Jin (e.g. with Tom, with Ji PD, halmeoni) by being exactly the same straightforward guy. Usually you'll have male leads that behave only nicely to his partner, but completely 180 toward other people.

Seon Ho is a gem. How he makes his character dushik so charming n cool n funny n sweet at the same time is amazing, n so loveable. This scene is so funny n cute. Homecha best drama - refreshing n healing.

Her step-moms expressions are the best! Notice how Hye-jin didn’t jump right in to deny him being her boyfriend. Also, she seems annoyed when she asked him why he said that and he replied so he could get his hand back. At that point I think she would have liked to be his girlfriend for real.
I enjoy their "family moment". It's heartwarming to see Dusik being in a family who accepts him, though at first appa seemed reluctant. I would love to see more interactions between Hong Banjang and appa.💚

This show is really refreshing and healing… my weekend stress reliever and pleasure giver. I feel sad knowing there are only 6 episodes left (only 3 weekends left) As early as now, I am hoping for season 2. I am glad it’s Saturday again!

I really love the acting details on every actor in this drama, especially Kim Seonho. he executed this character really well with his micro-expression and all. kudos to all the actor.
I also heard that the director don't really say "cut" and keeps the film rolling even when the actors make mistake, that's why it's full of adlib and the actors' expressions are natural.
I love all four characters in their own ways because the character developments were on point. Even though we only got to know Hye Jin's parents for a short period of time, I felt their dynamic and that they really loves HJ. I have to give shout out to the stepmom who was fantastic in episode 9. She was honest, understanding, and approved DS from the get go because she really cares for HJ and her husband.
I love his character. He is so spontaneous and even the tiniest gestures he does is so fun.
The Father and son-in-law relationship is going to be fun and adorable lol Looking forward to more of their interactions. The way Hyejin touched his hand 2:07 tho

I still remember how Hometown Cha3 turned out unexpectedly nice to watch and I was hooked to Netflix every Saturday night 11pm just to wait for it to release. It is still one of the very few k-dramas that I can keep rewatching without growing sick of it
How can Dusik be impolite by speaking informal language and at the same time also be polite by being himself? Idk how the writer and actor do this. It is such a MYSTERY to me. Is it the charm? I feel like someone casted a spell on me.

I adore that Chief Hong was about to introduce himself to her father right when she said he should leave, and, without skipping a beat, he comes up with a way to prolong the interaction--pay me--so that he can eventually introduce himself. Best of all, when her father tells him to wait, he has on a goofy grin, knowing his plan worked.
You can absolutely see the beauty in the contrast between director ji who aims to please hyejin's father compared to dushik being real and authentic by just being himself.
I really like this episode, With Hong Banjang, what you see is what you get. Even Tom in the end also falls for his sincerity
I like this drama, every character had their side of story and it explained thoroughly by the end of the drama. bitter, sweet, and wholesome moment was over the place. the character have fault, and each had their own character development to deal with their struggles/wrongdoing. it teaches the viewers that it takes time to know somebody and how it's important to protect trust you got from other people.

They all help each other in their various capacities. I am part of their circle of friends and enjoy our times together. We are a lovely group of people, each one interesting in his/her own right. The couple in this drama accept each other’s life skills unconditionally, and their differences. It’s just lovely, and that’s how it should be, never demeaning people because of their work. We recognise that each one of us is an integral stitch in the tapestry of life. The couple in this drama are each happy with their work. Honesty, humility and communication are vital to their happiness. There is no holding back on anything. Everything is discussed. It’s too lovely for words. You can almost see them being contented and enjoying a sense of security because they love each other. You feel that the honeymoon period will never end; it will just mellow and mature. A very satisfying drama all round.
