Mine stopped working immediately after installing my charger cable, I watched it come up as Emergency Calls Only, the charge port and sim slot are connected, my theory is that it is a design flaw and somehow the power coming from my charge socket frys the sim reader. I think this is what causes it to happen to people.
I have the same problem sim and micro for voice input. I bought the cable and changed it. The old cable had the same problem with the broken contacts. The problem is that the broken contacts got stuck with the contacts on the slot and somehow welded. This means that on the right side of the circuit board connector there are 4 contacts that are not separated from each other. The plug of the cable cannot be plugged in completely either. The device only boots into the recovery can do a reset but no longer boots into the system. I think it's because of the connector slot where the broken contacts of the cable connector are stuck inside. hard brick.
I had the same problem my phone could not detect the SIM card the repair shop replaced the cable for me but it bricked the the phone kept asking me to do factory restore, but failed..

Hey bro the sim and charge port are connected via a ribbon, I fryed my sim reader instantly when I fitted my charger cable to charge my phone, I guess it had too much current, I put the charger in and immediately it came up with no service Emergency Calls only

iv had same problem guy in the shop swapped the same thing as shown here. It worked fine for 2 days then problem came back. any ideas?

I’m confused? How does the charging port effect the no sim problem with the signal? I have the no sim problem too
