As 36 years old man, I remember some incredible maps in C.S 1.6 Aztec, dust, militia, assault, so many other great maps , and when joining internet servers it was so exciting. 16 vs 16 in big maps. Unforgettable memories.

When the game was still competitive but built on friendship and funny moments... nowadays its all about win or die and if someone fail to clutch the knife round there's always that one guy who goes《GG im throwing the game now.》counter-strike has lost it's magic to skins and statistics.

I'm 23 years old. I grew up on CS online, cs browser standalone, and CS:Source, I picked up csgo when it came out and I've been playing it ever since. I started playing 1.6 a few years ago, and it blew my mind how paper thin the walls are on every map. Seriously, i was getting spammed with an AK through like 3 walls and it was honestly kind of annoying lol. I like going back and playing the OG games though because even if i get destroyed by guys that have been playing since they were young, it's like experiencing the past again.

As someone who started on unreal tournament and half life death match I must say, 1.6 was peak cs to me At some point I've played it so much that I was mostly playing on fy_maps for the fast pace or moded warcraft servers for tons of fun You could choose your race and level up Like elves having snares and lifesteal, humans going invisible, orcs with 400 damage max lvl nades haaaa good times! Now I haven't even play csgo2 or whatever it's called even though I got it on steam 🤷🏻♂️

I was a bench player on a CAL-P team, never reached CAL-I but I remember getting to scrim against 3D (the top NA team at the time) a few times.
