24bosoxfan Thanks! I am glad you liked this one. I will have my husband do some more like this, with some other equipment, once our weather allows for it!
How many machines do y'all actually own? I've followed for a while and seen that some things have come and gone through the years and new things have been acquired. Love the videos, thanks!

BLACK EARTH EXCAVATION Very informative, thanks. I saw a coupe of videos back you had a brand new Cat D8 LGP configuration, was that a rental? And what size dozer might you replace the 973C with?
Hunter Moser thanks for the reply... the 973C will either get sold and not replaced or it will be replaced with another CAT D6T XW or possibly a 6R XW, just not sure yet... The D8T LGP was a used machine, had short of 2K hours on it when we purchased it. We used it on a couple of bigger projects then sold it. It was a very nice machine!
BLACK EARTH EXCAVATION Is it feasible to acquire such a large machine for a few jobs and then be burdened with having to sell it? I guess I would be concerned about having to line up a buyer or be stuck making payments on it. Thanks!
First large excavator thumb I have seen where the it "meshes" with the bucket teeth. I hope it doesn't crack or break when you pick up concrete and rocks. Nice momentary switch to activate the thumb. It looks like you ordered the excavator and Caterpillar built it to your order, instead of a dealer piecing it together. Nice finished product. You dropped some grit off your shoes you should go back and clean up. Keep it clean and neat!! ;-)))
Man did you guys deliver on this one!! OUTSTANDING video!! Exactly what I wanted to see. Thank you! I love this machine.
