I fell in love with old radio shows as a teenager in the 80s my mother and grandparents often would talk about lights out and how frightened she was as a little girl it reminds me of them
What a lovely picture! This radio is prettier than some of the others, it's more elegant looking than "economic" or "household modern" or whatever they called those boxy tweed things. It's a good story too, I just happened to focus on the picture even more intently for some reason in this video, noticed the design in the center of the radio and how pretty it is. But a little more creepy too, like it would fit in the Stanley Hotel?
@@OTRHALLOWEENHOLIDAZE - Please post a picture if you find one, that would be really cool! Maybe someday I'll get rich and I can search out all the old things I would love to have!? 😉 It's so hard to find old mystery books, I think the oldest one I ever found was from the 1920's, and then I read it too many times and it fell apart.

So happy to hear these shows bring back such great memories. What a time it would have been to listen to these shows instead of having to watch tv.

Looking to buy one with more of the wooden bar look around the speaker.

Good stuff.
Thanks!
I'm surprised that anyone had an appetite for horror during WW2
These shows kept going. It does make you scratch your head.
6:13. "Judas priest man!" Wonder if this is where the band lifted its name.
Good question. Now I will have their songs playing in my head. Especially Breaking the Law guitar rift!
