You should look up American Splendor, a long time running comic book about an ordinary guy with lots of problems. There is a movie put out by HBO with the same title. We were just talking about this subject in my comic book cinema class.

And of course, persepolis is not only autobiography, but also part of her point of view of situation happened in her country and another part of world. Classic novels are classic because of their impact on the world (whether the literary or mundane). The reason we read books look this in my Lit class (IB World..) is because of their impact, a main focus of the course. After a certain point, the study of writing styles becomes redundant. Of course people like Fitzgerald and Hawthorne had unique writing techniques that influence today's authors, but literature is not just about how they put words on paper. It's about their meaning.

I'm reading this book for IB English. Great thus far! Also saw parts of the movie last year in my Pre-IB/AP Comparative Government class (which sucked ass, he class that is).

Very true indeed Human everwhere is the same, good or bad, race religion, gender, colour, important though they may be,it is that basic humanity and its instincts that are very important.
Learning is vital to promote this fundamental process.
There are discrimination injustices, cruelty in the same group of people as there are in different groups of people.
