Sir I'm now a great fan of your classes. I watched all your videos. Your way of teaching is like an art. God bless you. Encouraging you to continue uploading lecture videos. It's really helpful. Thank you.
Thanks Dear for your words of appreciation, which in fact encourage me to move further to achieve my aim of passing on my knowledge to younger scholars and faculty members. Regards.
Excellent explanation sir ! You have made each and every concept very clear . Your videos are very much helpful to us , specially during this time when we are not able to gain that much clarity of all these important concepts of soil science in our online classes . Keep uploading more videos sir..
Thanks Rupali for your feedback. I am happy that my objective of uploading the lectures is getting fulfilled. I suggest "Soil Physics by D Hillel" or "Soil Physics by Ghildhyal and Tripathi". These two are good books and written in a simple way.
It's amazing sir.. this is too much helpful in clearing out our concept..✨👍 Sir.. we have a humble request just to upload a video on unsaturated flow and another one on soil moisture determination. It will be greatful to us. 😊
Thankyou sir😊 this lecture is awesome..Now only I can understand the concepts very clearly...plz sir can you give a lecture on unsaturated flow.. its a request🙏
Thanks Utkarsh. I shall try to prepare the lecture at an earlies possible time and upload the same. In fact, my next lecture is on unsaturated water movement. I shall try to squeeze out time for the same. All the best.
Shubham, I have already uploaded two videos on the topic "Why soil physics" in my RUclips Channel, which give detailed importance of soil physics. Hope you shall be able to locate. Otherwise please let me know. All the best.
Thanks Priyadarshini. Do you mean lectures in the field of horticulture? But I had been Professor of Soil Science and shall not be able to justify horticultural sciences.
Very good lecture thank you soo muchhh sir ,can you plzzz explain about root water uptake,Effective root zone depth, and moisture extraction pattern plzzzz sir
Sir , when both macro pores and micro pores are filled with water, will the plants absorb water? Or do plants absorb water only when micro pores are filled with water and macro pores are filled with air.
No, except rice plants, no other plant will be able to take up water if both macro and micro pores are filled with water (saturation). For taking up water by the plants from soil, there should be presence of air in the soil for roots to breath and hence take up water. The rice plant roots take up oxygen from aerial parts of the plant. Cheers. All the best.
Shall try to prepare and upload within a week's time please. In fact, I was not keeping good health during the last couple of weeks. Thanks for reminding me. Regards.
Sir I need ur kind advice, our soil PH is only 5.8 alongwith very poor water drainage/infiltration (which every person say it can't be true, the soil with this ph level should have adequate water drainage but it doesn't happening in our case) crop rotation is rice and wheat, rice yields 32-35qt/acre but avg Wheat yield is only 18qt/acre(bcz of poor drainage of water into soil) so kindly help me out, I went to so many experts but ਸਭ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ case, (Area-Ludhiana,no chemical factory around, class of water-1,Water ph-7.1, organic matter of soil-0.6%, salinity-0.56 mhos/cm, ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਕਿਸਮ- ਰਵੇਸਲ/ਰੇਤਲੀ ਮੈਰਾ

sir can we use porus cap apparatus for determination of saturation water content and non capillary water?
I did not get your point for porus cap apparatus? Do you mean by tensiometer?
Thank you so much sir for your nice explanation .can you please make a vdo about unsaturated water movement .
Sure Priyanka. I shall do it shortly.
