I am absolutely sure Dr. Masson, you would enjoy reading and appreciate the content of the late OT scholar Dr. Michael S. Heiser's book The Unseen Realm. If you haven't read it already.

Dr. Masson, you mention that part of the answer of why one reads literature is because of its enduring greatness. I would love to hear a fuller explanation, if you have a moment.
Why are some books great literature? Who decides the canon of lit, or assigns its value? Why study literature at all? These are such basic questions that I seem to really struggle putting articulate answers to, and I always feel like a fool trying.

I discussed this offline to a student in the class.
