    Great video! I’ve had my ID.4 for almost two and a half years and continue to love it, despite being without it for 6 weeks earlier this year for recalls. It wasn’t accepting the software update and I wasn’t sure I’d even get it back, so I re-investigated other EVs in case I had to get something else. I love the EV6 exterior but the small sunroof, wired Apple CarPlay and lack of rear wiper are dealbreakers. I would buy the ID.4 again over any other existing EV. All EVs have glitches and quirks, but the ID.4 has the best combination of features for me.

      That’s quite a testament to the ID.4. I do think the ‘24 model year will bring fairly substantial improvements. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe to see future videos!

      I have the 2024 model and all problems were solved regarding software, lack of backlight in temp and vol control, heat pump, and now has bigger and better infotainment screen, better and bigger battery, charges faster and they also added heated windshield to Pro S RWD and it now autolocks when walking away @@EVeryMile01

    I tried to push my wife toward an Ioniq 5, or KIA EV6 but we live on Canada’s raincoast so not having a windshield wiper was a dealbreaker and we have 3 dogs so vehicle space is important. Another huge negative for us was the fact that the closest Hyundai dealership has a horrible reputation. I wouldn’t buy a coffee from them. We pick up our ID.4 tomorrow.

      Love our EV6 AWD GT-Line on Vancouver Island, haven't need a rear wiper yet even with the last 1km of access to our property being a dirt road. Buying experience from the Kia dealership was terrible, I'll give you that.
      You can set a the default screen for the nav/climate by long-pressing the switch button. We leave ours on climate by default as the media controls are easily accessible on the steering wheel and infotainment screen.
      The nav system will do route planning if you set the destination beyond your range based on state of charge, you can filter by charging network and charge speed as well.
      The E-GMP platform vehicles are charging monsters - can definitely confirm the 10-80% in 18min claim, hitting 239kW on a regular basis at 350kW stations on multiple trips. That said, I normally charge at home on my 7kW Flo charger.
      I don't generally use i-Pedal (one pedal driving mode), I almost always have it on Auto Regen level 3, which uses the camera and radar sensor to automatically bring you to a stop when following a vehicle, but otherwise is smoother and less aggressive than i-Pedal mode. You can also pull the left paddle at any time to bring you to a stop using full regen.
      I love how the EV6 is a driver-focused car with all of the controls angled toward the driver, giving it a cockpit-like feeling. The augmented-reality HUD is just a bonus. :)

      I have the ioniq5 for now almost 3 years, it's a FANTASTIC car, which has an incredible quality of build, you won't need the dealer very often... only for the annual check. You get used to not have to rear wiper. You can put the rear camera on while driving which provides a decent view back. Just be aware that you loose about 20-25% range in winter. With the 73kwh, I manage 330km in winter, and 450km in summer. I drive cool, rarely above 110 km/h.
      I strongly advice you to have a fast charging station at home. I bought the Wallbox capable of delivering 11kW at 32A in 3x400V here in Belgium.

      @bfvader 9 месяцев назад

      @@bobstevenson4396 I'm actually in Nanaimo and yes, Harris Kia here is about as scummy as it gets for dealers - the whole Harris group is, in fact. They have no shame with sneaky add-ons, laughable trade-in offers, and fraudulent service writers.
      They tried to tell me that the mandatory "Vancouver Island Package" with all weather mats and locking wheel nuts wasn't optional and worth $2000 at the time of delivery. At my first 13000km service they told me they saw wear on my 6 day old snow tires (but couldn't show me where) and recommended an alignment as well as a brake service on a 4mo-old car because "heavy EVs use a lot of brakes"... right...
      I'm getting all future services done in Courtenay or Victoria.

    On the Kia EV6 instead of switching via the button between climate control and mapping etc, it is far simpler to use voice control (eg 'set climate control to 22°C ' or ' set seat warmer to level 3' or 'turn on heated steering wheel') - or if on the climate control already use voice commands such as 'turn on maps', 'turn on navigation'. No fiddling around then.

    I was underwhelmed by the infotainment in both cars - but I’d give a slight nod to the VW. No idea why reviewers say good things about Hyundai’s system. I’m personally leaning toward the ID4 - I think it feels a bit better built, rides better and has better steering. Slightly better lease deals too. The controls and UI in nearly all mainstream EVs could be better. The Ioniq 5 is my favorite looking while I actually find the EV6 pretty ugly!
