- In episode 3, we cross the Irish Sea where the stories take a more political and intense turn. The troubles between Britain and Ireland date back to the 12th Century, when the Catholics sought to sever all ties with Britain but the Protestants were keen to remain under British rule.

Brilliant channel, well put together, better than most tv documentaries 👍👍👍👍
That last guy that hates gangs is odd admits to horrendous crimes then cries that he wasn’t treated well in prison smh
Captain Robert Nairac disappeared in South Armagh, 15th May, 1977. Let us hope his remains can be repatriated, although at this stage its seems a forlorn hope. Nairac was the greatest enigma of the Troubles. Some of his happiest time he spent in Ireland 🇮🇪 before he joined the army. 🪖🪖🪖
Fk him, His links to loyalists around that area were well known. Lets not forget the UVF handkerchief in his possessions. Stay buried.. Good on those Volunteers that put him in tht hole..
Great show. Thank you for sharing this case. I really don't see why it matters what religion one chooses. I was raised up Irish P. As were my children here in the States. I am proud of my heritage. I commend the men that stood up for their rights and those who were taking care of drug dealers. Your awesome.
Sincerely

@@Labradorslikebiscuits why are you posting times ? What am I missing here, sir.?
Oh dear, I fell asleep on my phone, I find gangster docs, particularly relaxing to nod off to, Apologies
@@Labradorslikebiscuits your fine I was wondering why I getting all these times . Now I know the reason its funny.
Even tho I live here (North Belfast Ireland/N.Ireland) this was brilliantly done... So many stories from both sides + victim's should be told, documented and remembered but learmed from. For the future generations.
The Dunne man. He's got an alibi for the day he was born. He wasn't there and he don't know nothing about it, and the hospital faked his paperwork.😂😂 fair play, admitted nothing.
When will they unite to fight the scourge that keeps being imported.
Racism/fascism? Enlighten me oh wise one🙈

It's the Crown and the bankers
@@ciaranmac8689 and who do you think the bankers are? 👃
Woah, i was not prepared for that, not prepared for this presenters final comments of the program either, about him bein in the army & spending time in prison, that is very honest of him!
Also that final gent he interviews, looks like he could really be a nasty piece of work if u got on the wrong side of him, he also has a great attitude towards drug dealers, they’re the lowest of the low & he’s absolutely correct in stating hiw they ravage communities & its horrendous to have to fight fire with fire, but, if u dont smash someone in the head with a sledgehammer, u wont get their attention, its the sad truth im afraid so i totally agree with wot he states!
This program is very good at teachin us wot it was like bk then, with the likes of Maggie Thatcher in power in Downing Street, London, the Real IRA & other such organisations be it in the UK or in Ireland itself, it was a very scary time to live in no doubt!
I was born in ‘87 in Kent so i cant comment coz i was not here bk in the mid 60’s but i did see a bit of the early 90’s of news at 6 on tv & wot i remember wasnt all that good with the violence in Ireland & us i the UK that was still lingering on from all the violence which began as a result of particular groups/ organisations Bk in the 80’s etc, its the generation game huh, the youngsters look up to their brothers & sisters & supporting the movements of whatever side they’ve taken & become the nxt badass to move up to fake the foot soldiers place! If u know wot I mean.
But i feel for all the victims of that war, everyone, even the ones who committed such violence, they were only fighting for wot they believed in! May the lost soldiers souls Rest In Piece!
May peace prevail & death be no more!! Bless everyone! 🙏🏻✌🏻🥰💙
Irish gangsters are not British gangsters. Bye X
🇨🇮 Ourselves alone
Great interviews
Let us hope for peace amongst us celts
What people don't understand is the geopolitical problem in the world in its effect on Ireland, in the 1920,s the official IRA were communist, there were also the blue shirts, Irish fascists, moving forward to the 1960,s the Communists were still there, the Cuban crisis was underway with communism spreading throughout the world, with the civil rights looking equality for all, both the Catholic and Protestant church seen a threat to the balance of power. So civil war was instigated by both Catholic and Protestants as a Soviet (Communist) influence in Ireland would not be tolerated. Micheal Collins was an ardent communist and had to be removed (assassinated) to allow the capitalist Edmund de Valera was brought in from the USA to form a conservative state, As Ireland could not become a Soviet state. The official IRA were pushed aside to allow the provisional IRA to take power, both Catholic and Protestants were conservative in nature, both wanting to keep their power and control over the Irish both in the south Catholic and Protestant churches in the north, as we saw the rise of Ian Paisley with god on his side. Fearing communism, would grip Ireland, the last of the Communists the INLA the Irish National Liberation Army were routed in the mid 90,s as they had supplied most of the drug trafficking that funded the republican cause during the troubles. All leaders being assassinated by the provisional IRA who then took full control of the drug trade in Ireland as a whole.
Very interesting, never heard of this way of looking at it.
Yep 👊
For some reason 😂😂😂 you shot and killed them for being British ……. This dude is FOS
Aye exactly - they were attacking the army and Protestants and then wonder why they were discriminated against and roughed up at check points.
@@raymondhaskin9449It’s disingenuous for you to frame it that way. First of all, you’re implying that they attacked soldiers for no reason but why were the soldiers there in the first place? They were there because tensions started rising. Tensions didn’t rise for no reason. You’re ignoring very long very complicated history.
THERE'S A WAY TO MAKE AN ENTRANCE
Very interesting
Even tho i served in the British army its heartbreaking hearing the first interview about how he wanted to be in the British army and the British government turn the army in to a weapon against the people
