@@Qcknd Yes! I watched half before work and half after work (darn work getting in the way of my youtubes). Love the vibes and the review of Delaware lmao
as someone who grew up in Delaware (southern DE not Wilmington), went to community college in Wilmington, and now lives in Baltimore (a city that I think is similar to Philly in a lot of ways) this HIT DIFFERENT for me
I think travel vlogs are so fun and encouraging to watch :) I feel very encouraged to go out and explore by myself (safely) just from watching this, and I usually stress about solo craft store trips tbh. Plus the wholesomeness of you at the train station 💗💗
Love the vlogs. I get nervous taking a 20 minute walk around my town, and seeing you go all the way to a different state, love to see a girlboss winning
okay so the buildings near the train station are all gonna be banks because the river front area is our big business locations. im glad you didnt venture into the city tho because most streets are pretty sketchy and where people live. there is part of the river front thats tiny shops and food places but its a small portion. the type of area you were probably hoping to hit was probably Market street. Thats where all the food and local business tends to spred out from. I went to college for a couple years up in wilmington and market street was the one they told all the freshman to stick to because its the safest.
Living in Wilmington, Delaware and I had no clue this was a shop 😂🤣 if you went on market street, you would have found some restaurants and coffee shops. Also the river front.
When your miku broke 😭 That was such a cool shop, ive never been to an otaku shop before but after seeing that one i think i need to find one near me! Loved watching a longer vlog type video from you! Def want to see more
This was so cool! Reminds me of a tiny store in my city that imports a lot of smaller items from Japan. Also showing up to a location early and then waiting an extra two minutes before going in is one of the most relatable things I've ever seen.
I love love loved this! I always love your walk around/travel vlogs! Delaware was so beautiful and Generation Otaku seemed like so much fun! Thanks for taking us along 💙
This was fascinating. I’m not a huge anime fan but just watching you go on the train and walking around a new city was so interesting! I’ve never been anywhere near the East Coast and I’ve only caught trains in Japan as they’re not a thing where I’m from, and seeing the similarities and differences was cool.
This was my first time seeing your channel recommended to me. Love this video. I was smiling as you were browsing the store, like I was there with you. Thanks for sharing!
I got my first tattoo today!! Qcknd you are honestly such an inspiration and I want to thank you for sharing your tattoo experiences, I've been a fan for many years and couldnt help but think of you when I was getting my tattoo.
Loved loved LOVED this vlog! So chill and I loved seeing all that anime merch! Could you go into more detail about the pricing on some of these items? Idk if it's just me but I feel like I'm always curious since all the anime merch near me is very expensive. Also, can you maybe make a video about what it's like to go on day trips alone? Are you ever nervous or is it chill? What do you usually take along with you in your bag? I wanna go on more solo trips now that covid is down and I'm vaxxed, so I'd love to know!!! :)
I loooooooove your vlogs so much!!! Being from Europe it's incredible to be able to see parts of the US through your lens, the train stations and everything! I'm gonna start manifesting a US Qcknd tour vlog honestly
ok loving th vlog! But yes there are socks that don't have the seam! I love Bombas! I have a lot of pairs and they've also lasted me going on three years
I love these vlogs, especially the public transport part because that’s how I like to get around (plus I can’t drive…) Also your nose is looking so cute!
You want knit from toe up socks, most are knit top down in the round and that’s how machine knit socks are made most of the time with a heel gusset and toe flap seamed in, but toe up knit socks are knit in the round til the heel gusset and that’s then knit in seamlessly, so there is no toe or heel seam, but they’re hard to find mass produced, though I have both made a few pairs and bought a few mostly by accident every pair I have bought I found on Amazon.
I really love the way you vlog! I don’t know anything about anime and I’m not that interested in it BUT I watched this vlog because I miss this kind of content from you! It’s fun to watch, 10/10 enjoy :)
I grew up mostly in Perkasie (soooorta near Doylestown) and took the train a lot into Philly. Ive been living in San Francisco for the past 2 years so I really miss back home so this vlog was nice :) just seeing the area and you taking the train and exploring
Update now that I have watched more: the shop was so cute and the train station clip named my area in VA. This was really inspiring to me to travel on my own!
I'm very German and have never been to the US but I also am one of these people who can just go somewhere on their own and make a day of it. Before this whole pandemic thing I just went to Berlin randomly and walked around for the day and then went home again, all with public transport or those bus companies that connect cities to each other. I guess growing up in a city myself even one smaller than Berlin with 3mil residents not much scares me.
I moved from Philly to a Delaware suburb at the start of the pandemy and there's another place called Destination Anime that opened in Dec 2020. Very similar vibe!
Love the vlog, come back to Delaware some time! 💞 You'd for sure have to drive but there's another anime store a little further south, off main street in Middletown DE called Destination Anime. They mostly just sell figures but they have a lot of secondhand/pre-owned which is cool imo
Just curious if you ever experience social anxiety when traveling alone on public transport? I am from Boise ID so there isn’t much public transportation here so it was never something that I had to get used to. I have visited larger cities before and had the opportunity to take the local bus however the anxiety I experienced was almost unbearable and I was just wondering if that’s something you have experienced as well and what you would recommend in overcoming anxiety related to public transport. Ive noticed it’s somewhat of a regular feature in your videos and I love seeing how confident you are in knowing where you need to go/ how to get there (I am honestly a little envious.) Anyway, great vlog! Keep up the great work 🥰
I live about 30 mins outside of Philly and have taken the train many, many times! But even for me, it’s been so long I was thinking how would I be sure I got onto the right train I would get so nervous 😂
i'm from a pretty big city in germany and in the last week of fourth grade all elementary school kids go on a public transport rally for a day where they get sent out into the city in groups of 4 with sheet of questions that can only be answered by traveling all around the city by bus and train. it gave me a lot of confidence that i still cherish. maybe you could make it a fun adventure when you're in a bigger city and have a day for yourself to just get onto different trains and busses and see where you end up, no pressure to take the right bus at the right time, just existing in the space. get off at a stop that looks interesting, have a look around and then take the next bus or train somewhere else. as long as you stay in the inner city it's really hard to actually get lost and the busses and trains run at a high frequency
So I grew up right outside nyc and started using public transport pretty young and I also have social anxiety. The thing about it is, public transport is like being alone around other people. As long as you have headphones or a book you can just go into your own world. Plus usually headphones will prevent people from talking to you. The more you do it the less scary it is.
@@padlocksncocoapuffs being alone in a crowd is exactly how it feels. I also think having masks helps sort of disconnect from other people and reduce the potential anxiety. At least it does for me.
If you are ever in the Pittsburgh area there is a cute shop called Kawaii Gifts it's amazing and pretty similar. It does have more stationary things as well 💙
Your videos are so comforting! Probably because I’m outside the philly area and it’s just like home watching your travel videos. That store seems amazing! Did you see any Attack on Titan stuff?
