I always love the subtle lore in these games. The implication that the main character needs the job because the alternative is going back to their abusive family (the room with the door that “looked familiar”). Encapsulating a lot of what’s terrible about corporate job/job search culture. Just, chef’s kiss.

Jay doesn’t get the ending in this room.
So the room is hinted at representing the MC’s old home: “reminds me of my old place” and the fact that you can say the floors creaked and the floors in this room also creaked. Also, the MC freaked out immediately about the floor creaking. He says it even before the voice starts calling out, so how did he know something was there? No one has this visceral kind of reaction for no reason. It implies the MC’s parents were abusive to him. It’s common for kids of abusive parents to try to make as little noise as possible in order to avoid interacting with their parents as much as possible AND to avoid setting said abusive parent off.
Other things that hint at this are:
drawing under the bed of what looks like a scared kid version of the MC, a small creature (possibly a sibling because it’s the same type of creature as the big one), and a big angry creature violently yelling at them (symbolizing the parent).
If you click on the door it says “don’t let them hear you”
The MC has a silent, but concerned look if you try to check the cross above the bed. There’s a few things that could mean, it’s left for you to infer.
The voice calling out gets slightly more aggressive if you stay in the room, until it’s “you better be sleeping when I get up there!”
After that the light that says it “keeps monsters away” turns off, a tall dark figure shows up at the door to the side, and the door to the elevator shuts behind you. It’s implied that violence happens when the figures reach the room because this is an ending. Also the ending is called “PARENTS”
ALSO, one more solid thing. You have the option to tell the coworker the MC had to hide all of his things in this old place where he lived with his parents. 😬
and another one that might be a little of a stretch. You can turn the mirror around. Usually one would hide a mirror because they don’t like what they see when they look into it. Take that however you want.

When you realize that you want to leave work, but then You feel the guilt sinking in, the anxiety of "how do I pay bills if I don't have this job?", or the wasted years that you have given the company... You actually need this job to survive.
Even if the work and work people are toxic, you stay because you need it.

The true ending reminds me of a quote i saw recently that was something like "the most effective prison is one where the prisoner keeps themselves there", despite all of the stuff he went through he was reminded that he NEEDS the job, even though he literally died multiple times in that elevator he chose that over going back to his home where the "monsters" were waiting for him

I love the way this game shows what it’s like getting a job. You have to go through so much (school, college) to get the job and during the interview you have to basically kiss their ass to join, one wrong word and it’s over. And plus the MC having to deal with an annoying coworker the entire time.. I love how it comes full circle. At least that’s the way I interpret this
Omg yes, I don't wanna sound petty but as a neurodivergent person that triggered me, that's what life feels like totally. Also the feeling of being the only one aware of these social unspoken norms (the MC remembering all the deaths and knowing this is weird, but the coworker doesn't and it's also basically natural for him)
i love the weirdcore/dreamcore inspired aesthetic they used in this game, it leaves us just as confused as the player character and makes every scenario seem surreal. It's kinda like if The Stanley Parable, those elevator games on roblox and your blurry childhood fever dreams all got thrown into a blender and made into a smoothie for you to enjoy.

What i noticed at the last ending "ESCAPE" when the main character walks out the exit when the doors open up we see the inside of the elevator wich makes me think wether the time loop is still going or if this is like an afterlife or something. This is a great game

Am I the only one who loves when Jay makes videos on small games like these? His personality adds so much to the experience
I'm a person with very sensitive eyes. I always keep my screen brightness on the lowest and I usually always have a blue light filter on, but when I watch Jay I put my brightness up and turn off my filter so that I can view him and the game properly and in good color. One thing i find really neat is i believe that Bryce disappearing is a reference to ending yourself, he seemed like a bright happy dude but was ultimately very mysterious and never let you in. Ultimately to disappear completely (id assume by jumping from a height given where and how he disappears). I believe this adds so much more to the game. Showing that even the most “successful” and “happy” people in a company can still feel horribly depressed and unfulfilled. I could write a whole essay on this game god damn.
