Congrats on the move Timmy. I'm actually a huge Vegas fan, have been six times but not for about five years now (just before City Center was completed, so I've never seen it fully constructed). If I was forced to choose my favorites, it would have to be Venetian and Palazzo, with Wynn/Encore being close seconds. I'm not sure if any other casino hotels are as opulent as the latter two.
Coming from Alaska...holy crap you picked one hell (pun) of a place for your body to get used to. Especially now, going into the summer. Summers with sunny blue skies...and being on the Strip with the sun bouncing off the buildings...can be absolute agony. Will def need an umbrella or just avoid it mid-day.
I have often considered moving there, but as a northeaster, I'd miss the change of seasons terribly, so I stay in NY. If I were wealthy, I'd have a second home there...BUT, you may find, as a lot of residents do, that the whole spectacle that is Vegas will take it's course over a year or so. I have family that lives in Henderson and the more you go to the Strip (if you have work there for instance) the more the tourist trap aspect becomes a bit of an annoyance (for some people). Only telling you what my family has reported, I personally still think it's a great great place, and I don't really see myself ever getting sick of it.
ALSO: BEWARE OF THE DRIVERS. Literally the worst place I've ever driven (tho I've never driven in NYC, nor will I ever). Every time I've been to Vegas, I see multiple accidents every...single...frickin...DAY. They drive like lunatics. Something in the water, too much sun, I dunno! I'll never forget being on 15 and having people coming on from entrance ramps and *not even looking at oncoming traffic to merge; they just go IN without bothering to look to see if they will HIT someone*. (UGH!)

P.S. Downtown is awesome too, don't miss it! Whole different vibe, but still neat-o. I usually stay Downtown (Golden Nugget) for my first two days, then stay at one or two more hotels on the Strip the rest of my stay there (usually just under a week). Cheers.

I'm not the biggest fan of gourmands and the scent gotta be something real nice and not too sweet so I'll give Al Contrario a try. And Chimera is pronounced Ki-mera. I remember in Mission Impossible 2 or 3 it was some virus or something. lol The original Chimera is a monster/dragon from Greek mythology.

Unless of course if they aren't available there as well. Anyways,I'll be there in Vegas 2nd wk of July and will do frag sniffing as well and pick up a few frag from Dior and Chanel that aren't available at Notino so yeah....hope it won't be that hot when we get there.....

I don't like Jeremy taste in fragrance, he speaks so highly of Versace Eros, Dior Sauvage, Bvlgari Aqua Amara. When I smell these fragrances they smell like so many other fragrance, nothing unique and they don't smell that good, I prefer something unique smelling and fresh scent.
