lore: having gaster corrupted is a big deal, he can corrupt even the whole undertale because of his access to game files, and one of the victoms are sans and papyrus, controlling his children, very normal. reason for frisk to survive: chara and frisk holds powers of reset and determination to prevent them from corrupting, my guess is that chara is inside of frisk and both power prevents corruption from getting to them. Who knew life as a maniac would help prevent more evil reason for pibby to survive: she just came in to this world and her game files are not there, therefore immune from corrupted files but still need to survive the physical challenges.
