How I use Overbridge with Analog Rytm MK2 : Ableton Live Free Template incl.

Talking through one way I set up using Overbridge, some things to look out for if it's not working and the cool stuff you can do with this setup.

This is brilliant, I find that I love how my samples sound through the rytm with the distortion etc but I build all my tracks in ableton so I’ve been having trouble integrating it into my workflow. I think this might be exactly what I needed to make use of it in a smooth way. Thanks so much

Are you using with Overhub? My overbridge and AR will slowly drift away to more latency. Amazing video liked
Thanks, glad it was enjoyable. No I don't have Overhub, it's just straight USB to Mac. That's odd you get a gradual drift and not a fixed latency.
I’ve done that with vcv rack going through Rytm individual input back to Ableton. Pretty cool
VCV rack is great. I really need to use it more.
@@ExpectResistance it’s great especially through Rytm’s filter etc. Rytm can sequence vcv rack as well.
Ah yeah thats a good point as it takes away the load of sequencing in vcv rack which is definitely a good thing. I need to try that. Nice
@@ExpectResistance exactly:) with the trigs and probability etc. I use Rytm to sequence ableton and everything else. Such a powerful sequencer.
It’s definitely handy they included that with Rytm. I always love gear that has its own sequencer.

It does seem some glitches are happening somewhere, although hopefully the more I use it, i will find out why. I personally wouldn’t feel confident taking it live yet, not without further testing.
This is great. Do you have a template for Logic Pro?
Edit: So I discovered that Overbridge and Logic Pro don't offer the Side chain options 🤦♀ so you can only process out of the Rytm, which is still good but not nearly as powerful as what you can do within Ableton and using Sidechain. To achieve this routing do i need to have all inputs and outputs activated in the Oberbridge engine? I am asking because on my pc with the rytm mk1 i can only activate 8 channels.

You could just pick the stereo or an individual one if you wanted, so no you don’t need that all.
I’m not sure how well this plays with the Mk1 so if it works well that would be great to know from you. 👍

New user of the rytm, need to first find out to setup in ableton and create template, you have latency with overbridge?
@@Fixme_12 no latency that’s noticeable between Overbridge and Rytm as it’s more a controller, although latency through monitoring, i’m running the lowest buffer setting in Live on M3 so i don’t notice any that impact negatively.
does it work with ableton 11 too?
11 won't open 12 files, but I just added a template in the description for Ableton 11 👇👍
